Oh yeah! new week.... 
What do we have?

Well... i´ve been testing and trying some of @ Djpavs  work the last two weeks ... great stuff thank you much - and thus wanted to give you some of those - and i did.

We have Kate Bush, The Bee Gees and that insane Anthemversion by Jimi. To make thes selectiondifficulties nice and easy we get some wonderful Opeth and Dokken tunes. Shall be blast of a week.

For BeeGees the lead path is the better and a bit harder RHYTHM line - so beg rhy might also wanna try int rhy haveing the lead chart there....

Wow this song felt like it was in every single show for a while there, core memory definitely. around 2010, 25 years after release.  I think Stranger Things also did it

Game did not like the way I played those harmonics.

Good to see some djpavs stuff here have lots of his work but surprisingly didnt have any of these, think it must be old cdlcs. 

Maybe its cause I grew up with the placebo version and i listened to it alot but I do feel like that version is way better. Even though this is the original i feel like it is missing something.  Not too much a fan of the cdlc  either (but doesnt help that i dont like this version) , lead seems really minimal/ didnt feel like i was playing the song.


interesting i thought the beegees was only disco music.  i wonder if this is what inspired calvin haris song cause i have noticed lots of popular songs nowadays either take a line from popular old songs and use it as their main title/hook

this one will be tough i think to get a high score, maybe @ robolechuga or @ Mikson  will have better luck


Its a shame the song lasts so long. Theres some really cool ideas in there but the length and the overall compoisition makes me not want to ever play it again. I feel like thats most of my experience with opeth but i know lots of people enjoy it.

Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God). Some parts can be tricky for beginners. 

Bee Gees - How Deep Is Your Love (to chords). Lead part is easier then rhythm because of speed.

 

Jimi Hendrix - The Star Spangled Banner. I think part on higher frets is like a joke.

Dokken - Alone Again. Hard.

  

Opeth - Serenity Painted Death. Hard.

Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill - easy song, but this is a song more based on effects (synthesizers?) so there's not much interesting guitar playing here.

Jimi Hendrix - The Star Spangled Banner - interesting American anthem theme to play. However, this CDLC contains notes that imo disqualify it from use in the championship. @ Rodman  We shouldn't use such CDLCs, or perhaps improve them. Here's an example - it's impossible to play and generates many misses...

Dokken - Alone Again - sounds good, I had fun playing this.

Opeth - Serenity Painted Death - we recently played another song from this album in the championship. After that, I started listening to the whole album, and it's really good, and this song is another example.

Yes! But it´s only that sequence of impossible slides, the rest is all playable.... I had it really on the edge because of that and i felt it also being a tad out of sync for a smaller part in the middle, however close one but decided to go with it and see what players will say....

Also tried to go after what has been played there originally - mastership in camerawork i must say - 2 thumbs up.... BUT give a listen - there is more in it than our cdlc tells us - i think if someone took the time there could be a more complete version for sure.

However i found it cool to play at testing and again now - all you competitors there tell me - keeper or dropper?
