i was literally closing my eyes when playing main solo theme riff...

 

 

I'm sick of this song now. I can play verse part even faster then in the song without the song. But right after starting SA everything is going to mess and my fingers do everything but verse.

Improvements (almost 90%):

hmm i think im playing worse cause this seemed pretty hard for me and would not want to 100% it. Usually not a fan of metallica being considered advanced but to me it did seem more complex solo wise than some of the other songs.
Played both as suggested by @ Syvaa , new one is slightly better thanks!  But like most metalica cdlcs, imo they could benefit from another update.

Great week for me, two of my favourite bands in Metallica and Opeth!

Panic! are a band that I never really got into but my wife was a big fan.

Metallica on the other hand were THE band of my teenage years. My first concert was Metallica in Dublin aged 16 back in 2009 with a lineup of Mastodon, Alice In Chains, Avenged Sevenfold and Metallica themselves, what a day that was! I'm going to do a suggestion of my personal favourites per album (don't judge me too hard!) for these guys, no way I could narrow it down to a top 10 or 20....

I have dabbled in Rush before, have a faint memory of hearing this one before. Didn't stop the solo surprising me on my first play through though! Enjoyed this one as well, really nice chord progressions. Have a few suggestions, nothing too deep cut

Now I've gushed about Opeth before on here and this is my favourite song of theirs (hence my suggestion!). I personally think this song shows the best of all aspects of Opeth i.e. the heavy vs clean vocals, interesting and groovy riffs, acoustic interludes and great melodic solos. I was going to skip my suggestions list for them as I gave one a few months ago but looking through the comments I've seen a few people have just started listening to them so I'll give a quick top 10 of my favourites which in fairness has probably changed since that last post!

Yeah this song has some fun riffs, starting to get the hang of it. Might take a final run at the lead and rhythm later tonight
