I appreciate the concern y'all, haven't been doing too well lately and I tend to close off when I'm sad. Wish I was a little more Ozzy and a little less Linkin Park (IYKYK)..

Love the championship, feeling grateful 🙂 Every time I pick up the instrument I am amazed at how much it sounds like music 🥲

Huh, it's good you're back, because when someone mentioned week 610, I checked this and you left a strange comment about your scores, as if those songs were annoying you. Then you disappeared and I thought it was because of my choices because I was the host that week 😆

Again, not 6.5, Lead & Rhythm paths are rated too high in this song.

@ Mikson  the BPM was just out of my league still is probably!! Your weeks are always hard af 🤣 but don't worry it didn't scare me away I am working on it

I'll try to get around to playing tonight, it's been a bit busy with the holidays.

I have a question about lower tunings like drop B that we have on the GoG chart now.
Does everyone downtune to these tunings or use some kind of pitch shifter?

I use a 5 string bass with a long scale, so the strings are a bit thicker. Generally I still tune down, unless the tuning actually is B. If it's drop B, I'll just tune the upper four strings up a note.

I don't mind downtuning, because it feels like Rocksmith notices errors less if you're playing really low notes 😛

I agree with @ Mikson here, this song is not a 7 difficulty.  On the other hand I would like to congratulate Mikson on his results and let you know that it is okay to stop for the week.  Scores are solid enough.

Scores for this week:

This was harder than The Longest Mile, but more fun to play:

I know what you mean, but I'll probably try to improve my score 😉 But don't worry, it doesn't matter, because @ cacahuate51  will beat us as usual, achieving about 99% 😆

This is sick  🫣

Much harder than a 7.5. Moana is also harder than 2.5. Y&T, on the other hand, is easier than a 6.5 - song is rated too high on all 3 paths.

This week's ratings need improvement, sorry @ Rodman 😉

Btw @ Rodman  will my scores of week 616 be fixed at some point please?

What exactly is wrong? I see your scores for all beginner class paths on the leaderboard and they seem accurate 🤔

That was just an OCR error though I haven't gotten a 99 in ages 😂 I believe I fixed it so that it outputs the right winner I think it was @robolechuga. The mainpost just needs to be updated by @ Rodman

Couple more passes, mixed results. Kill the Rhythm, botch a section on solo.  Hit most of the solo, make easy rhythm mistake.  Best result so far, may try to put together one more solid run tomorrow.

Haaa you mean what is the the new topic post by Rodman doesn’t really matter, only the sheet does?

then all good 😊 thanks!

had few minutes spare and decided to go through this one again.

cpuld be much better as it doesn't seem to be too difficult, but i would need 3-4 more runs to polish it to get to like 99, maybe 99.5...

such a cool song to play.. completely my style 😉

anyway... better than last time 😉

Got a pitch shifter working through Reaper, but i don't like the note detection using it.
The strike was in a section with just three chords, and i apparently missed one...

I have a second guitar with heavier strings, which I use to play songs in tunings below D Standard. Of course, with very low tunings there may be a bigger problem.

You can also use the pitch shifter function in Custom Forge Song Manager to create CDLC versions in E Standard/Drop D tuning, but the sound will be less than ideal. However, I sometimes use this when I have problems with recognizing notes in low tunings.

I might try CFSM to change the tuning as I play a lot with my guitar muted in Rocksmith and run my input through plugins for effects.
That way i can pitch shift what i hear, while the game gets standard tuning 🤔
But that can wait for a shorter song to test on.

On another note, if I want to contribute with some CDLCs that could be played in the championship, that i have to make.
Are there any requirements to the quality of the CDLC?
Should i fix stuff like fret hand position and chords without fingers/hand shape?

apparently my rocksmith cable is damaged so it keeps disconnecting when playing, luckily i should be back at my normal setup around wednesday

Back after a few weeks away! Needed to keep myself awake to try to counteract the jetlag so after over 24 hours solid travel time and going 6 hours into the future I decided playing guitar would keep my mind occupied and alert (in theory...). Lets just say, it was an experience! Gave them all a shot anyway; reckon I could have done better on a normal week but happy to be playing again at least.

I genuinely, unironically love these guys, they are just the perfect level of cheesiness for me with some banger songs. They have a newer album since this CDLC was created which is worth checking out as well if anyone wants to dig deeper.

Best of luck everyone!
