ah thanks for pointing that out! I have updated the main post, Its alt lead.  Alt Rhythm is actually a 5 string bass path so @ MaltaSoron  can play if he wanted to. (thats why its tuned to B) Do not attempt to tune with a guitar on that path unless you want spaghetti strings.

I checked it out, but it's madness xD

  • Happy Saturday everyone! The first song I ever played on Rocksmith! Will I ever make 100%?

  • This song seems to be a little easier than Slipknot, other than it goes on forever.  With a little practice, this could be a good beginner song with lots of single-note repetitive riffs.   It is a lit

Something is better than nothing! Glad you had enough time to play atleast one

tiny improvementszLfgfwH.pngin a way kinda reminds me of the disk song blood and thunder by mastodoon in the sense that the chord slides make it kinda hard to get a good score

Ah it's good to be back! Had to take the past few months off as work was crazy and then I ended up needing wrist surgery on my picking hand so couldn't even play the guitar for most of December never mind compete in the championship. Almost didn't make this week either after a storm hit Ireland (yep, contrary to what my profile flag says I'm actually Irish, still haven't figured out how to change it!) last week and I was left without power but thankfully I got it back in time for this bumper week!

First up, good old Nirvana. Going to be honest here, I've never really been a big fan of them and this is actually the first time I've attempted to play this song. Had a good time on my single playthrough though but I had bigger fish to fry...

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Same applies to Arctic Monkeys, just never really got them I suppose?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Been ages since I've even listened to Slipknot, let alone play them. Back in the day I used to constantly listen to Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses playing in the background; Vermillion is my personal pick from that album but Before I Forget is a close second. Brought back some lovely memories of Guitar Hero 3 which is definitely the point of this week!

Everlong is one of those songs, I never seek it out to listen to it but if I hear it I always listen the whole way through. Actually had a good time playing this one as well and there are some tricky little nuances especially in the chorus that can catch you out.

God I love Tool! In my top 3 favourite bands along with Mastodon and Parkway Drive. Schism is a banger but I personally would have chosen Vicarious from the GH4 songs but it probably would have messed up the difficultly levels as there's significantly more going on guitar-wise, maybe in the next Guitar Hero week!

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

This song has a special place in my heart but not because of Guitar Hero; it has been a staple of my leg day gym playlist and the song that I got my squat PB to haha. Absolute blast to play, killer main riff and all of those licks and fills are great fun.

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Now, the other two songs. No point even showing you my scores as they were both sub 80%. Let's just say that for the Freezepop song, my Les Paul has only got 22 frets. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Great to be back and hopefully I'll be able to submit more often now that I'm all healed up. Great choices this week, once again the Championship team have knocked it out of the park. Also, it's good to see a few new faces as well. Best of luck everyone with your scores

wonderful week @ cacahuate51 !

a lot of memories.. songs I've played (always sloppy) a million times, and obviously i forgot 😉

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

never head this one!

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

and never played this one

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

And that is it for me this week!

I thought i would do better as it didnt feel so complicated to play, but nope.

@ cacahuate51  @ drand   I would love to touch the rythm section but at the moment I dont even manage to practice every day so I will focus the little time i have on the lead section. Ultimately my goal would be to get on all 3 parts but let's see laaaater  😅

Anyway loved the choice for this week, was lot of fun to play Nirvana, thanks for organising! 🙂

Welcome back! Based off your scores looks like the wrist surgery went well!

I honestly dreaded when people would pick tool, which was very comon,  in ghworldtour because i played the drums and 7mins gets tiring for me. Since it became a merory though or trauma lol i picked one of the songs from them . Glad to see some of you guys liked tool (even if its not your favorite song).

anyways yeah, there is possibilities for future gh weeks or maybe rock band weeks? although imo guitar hero was the better game/ liked the drums more as it actually had seperate cymbals. It won't be anytime soon (on my end) but we'll see 🙂

nope i usually try to dl the songs of the week but when i went to dl the artic guys it told me it was an official dlc and i had to purchase it which i dont mind in principle but since in any case i wouldn't have time to practice....

i just take practice the first song suggested as the lead and try to keep it simple 🙂

Didn't have a time to play this week. Well my results for Slipknot are random successful hits.
