3. Opinions on diff rating are more than welcome. Requested even.
4. While the song list is getting way longer than in the past year,  we could surely use more beginner songs in there.

Beginner lead, rhythm, bass . what a great song sounds like Survivor, Should be in a Rocky movie Part of a montage . lol All ratings are good for these

ignore my score... lately i brushed up my squealie abilities and i played the whole song using pinch harmonics, RS registered quite a lot as normal notes

 

 

 

thx @mikson - that´s a part i really love about the champs - you get to know local music from around the world you would have never heard (4)

 

absolutely not my music... last 2 songs of those guys that we had here though cool to play. Just learning how to sweeppick - that downward arpeggios come in handy there. overall quite hard, nothinh masterclassy but (7.5) i think

I don't consider myself to be at the higher ends of the advanced scale. I'm far from it 🙂 I would define myself as 6/10 on the championship scale, i.e. songs rated 6/10 (if rated correctly) I can play quite well, but 7/10 are often too difficult for me at least in some parts. 

With players from the first 4 places in the table, I don't really have a chance to compete, because their skills are such a strong 7, maybe 7.5, they are somewhere between advanced and masterclass.

And so now we have a solstice of higher classes - adv and master, and a small number of competitors in lower classes. This is unlikely to change, because hardly anyone starts their adventure with RS from scratch.

nice 90's grunge, a bit long. ok for 7, 7.5 in some points of the solo but 7 is fine for me

Another week, another time for sightreads!

Very nice song. One of the best new bands with an 80s sound. Bjorn ''speed'' strid from Soilwork on vocals and the bassist of Arch Enemy so very interesting to see their love for a different genre that they usually perform. My favorite album is probably Aeromantic (1) by them. Great album.

Never heard of this one, but that is no surprise them being Polish. An interesting song that is nice and easy to play.

I am not a big grunge fan so this song is not really for me. However some great solo work! 

Love the main riff on this one. Out my skill level especially to make it sound as intended. Still, a lot of fun to play with a challenging solo. 

 

 

@ Razrshred  Congrats on winning with the perfect score on Adv Bass. I know you said you practiced Gangsters quite a bit before achieving the 100%...nevertheless, the Championship expectation (see the rules link) is that you consider up-leveling when you achieve 99.5%+ on a 7 difficulty Advanced track. Up to you but achieving a 100% on a 7 difficulty is very rare for Adv players...last time it happened was I think @ cacahuate51  who moved up to MC.

I haven't played bass in a while, except for testing yesterday, so I don't expect this to be a winning score. Dunno if I can find the time to work on this.

I try to add songs for beginners regularly so that there is always something to choose from. The problem may be the small number of competitors (currently only @ lowender compete there) who then play these songs. That's why it's good for higher classes players to play these songs for fun. Here, special thanks to @ johnal , who tries to master songs from the lower classes.

Just wanted to point out that this 99.5% rule for a 7 difficulty song seems to date back to before the bass 6-7 ratings were changed to 7-8 for advanced class.
I think @ Razrshred  has skill between advanced and masterclass (7.5), but looking back a few weeks ago I outperformed him twice, so competition with him is possible. I think if he wins regularly every week, he should consider promotion.

Nice solid bassline here, pretty good.
