Here's a quick tutorial on how I record using Shadowplay. The good thing about Shadowplay is as it uses your graphics card to encode the videos you get very little FPS drop so this will be beneficial to lower spec machines. 1st. First thing you'll want to do is locate your recording devices, usually by right-clicking the sound icon at the bottom right in your taskbar and selecting "Recording Devices". http://i.imgur.com/yhk1UvA.jpg 2nd. Next you'll want to make sure your Stereo Mix is set to Default Device and Default Communications Device. If you don't see Stereo Mix here select Show Disabled Devices. http://i.imgur.com/kH7U1zy.png 3rd. Once you have that sorted…

Some people wanted to know how to record Rocksmith 2014 with some recording software. I'm using bandicam myself for all my recording and since some people we're asking in the chat, i've decided to create a tutorial about it. I'm sorry that this tutorial is only for windows user (don't know MAC OS enough) at the moment. 1.Required Software Obiously you'll need Rocksmith 2014 and bandicam Note that Bandicam in is free version will only include a watermark at the top of the video but no time limitation like fraps for exemple. 2.Rocksmith 2014 Settings You have to turn off the audio exclusivity of Rocksmith 2014 to allow bandicam to record the sounds of your PC. In Rocksm…

So, you downloaded a CDLC but it's not showing up? Awww. Maybe it's shy? Or maybe you haven't read this thread yet: http://customsforge.com/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014/ Or, maybe, you haven't bought any official DLC. Most people got Cherub Rock when they preordered the game, and most CDLC use that app id. You don't have to buy it, as you can just update the appid of every CDLC you download to the app id that you DO have. Do that, then read this: 1) Download and extract the toolkit. Here it is: http://www.rscustom.net/builds 2) Open toolkit (Rocksmithtoolkitgui.exe) 3) Click on the Packer/Unpacker tab: http://thumbnails110.imagebam.com/34301/60f19f3430…

I'm not sure if this was already mentioned here, but there's a free little app that you can use to figure out the tuning frequency (438, 440, 442...whatever) of a song. Technically it's a demo of the tONaRT library, which the company is licensing to pro audio software manufacturers, but it serves our purposes just fine. You can download it here: http://www.zplane.de/index.php?page=description-tonart ("download demo" button in the top right corner). The song you wish to analyze has to be in .wav format. You simply drag&drop it onto the app's window, and the app will show you the song's key, and tuning frequency. Have fun, PhamNuwen

I'm sure most of you know this but just in case. If you manually inputting notes / chords it can be quite time consuming but I have found a quick method for inputting notes and chords. Say you want a row of C chords and you already have a C chord to start with. Just right click wherever you want a C chord as many times as you need ( any string it doesn't matter ) and when your done select all the single notes and use ctrl click and add the C chord to your selection. Press N and it will automatically show the C chord in the input box so you can just click OK and all notes will change to C , no need to enter the frets manually. If you know a quicker way please share :)

I just got my acoustic guitar connected to Rocksmith, and I did it pretty cheaply, so I thought I'd share what I did. You need two pieces of equipment: An Acoustic Pickup A PreAmpThere are a wide variety of acoustic pickups available, and you can spend quite a bit of money if you want to. Many are hard installed into your guitar, and require cutting a hole in the cabinet. The instructions on most of these suggest that you take it to a local guitar shop to have them do it for you. I wasn't interested in this... I also wanted to keep this on the cheap, and have something that was removable. Therefore, I purchased an HDE® Guitar Pickup Acoustic / Electric Transducer …

In order to be reading this, you should have a basic idea of how customs work, and what to do in order to make them. This topic is intended for people who already know the very basics of how to chart, but want to make sure that their customs are nice and polished. If you don't know what you're doing, click here. This will give you a very in-depth look at how to actually make CDLC. Also, it will help a ton if you have a general idea of how to count and read sheet music and tab (trust me, I know). This tutorial will cover mostly things to do with taking your customs to the next level. I take no credit for any work that is not my words; a general purpose of this tutorial i…

-= HOW TO USE YOUR DLC LIBRARY and RS PROFILE w. PROGRESS on MULTIPLE PCs =- Guide for Windows / Steam.... So - like me a lot of you could like to play the downloaded dlcs on multiple Pcs... Here is the howto: 1. Get a (free) online cloud storage like dropbox (<--- link) which works great for me (up to 16Gb free). You can use any service that offers automatic folder syncronisation. Because i personally use dropbox i am gonna show how to do it with that in that guide. Register and 2. download and install the app of the homepage - it creates a folder on your HD - everything that you copy there is auto-synced with the cloud and it works boths ways, so if you install…

Hey guys, this is my tutorial for creating CDLC in Rocksmith. This is the way I do it every time I make a custom and I feel it is extremely efficient. I learned the process via another tutorial and I made this one as that tutorial went on a little long, I wanted to create a simplified, shorter version that was easier to watch and easier to understand. Hope you like it :)

Notes in sync with the rhythm : All the logic of DDC is based on the position of the notes and the chords in the beats and measures. So to obtain the best result : - Correctly define the time signature in EOF (multiple signatures allowed in the same track) - Move the beat positions in EOF to synchronize the tab with the soundtrack (and not the notes and chords) - If you have to move a few notes, define a grid snap in EOF (1/16 or 1/32 or 1/64) - Before generating DD levels, check the notes which are out of sync with the "Highlight non grid snapped notes" EOF functionality Sections and phrases : DDC can work with no section and no phrase, but not in a…

Hi all, with the help of tips from BHMath, pgboyd and raynebc, I was able to conduct some tests to help me verify how lyrics work in Rocksmith. First my conclusions and if you are interested I substantiate those conclusions with screenshots below. Each conclusion made has a corresponding number in the Substantiation section. Perhaps it is worthwhile specifying here that I only tested Rocksmith 2014. CONCLUSIONS 1. pgboyd's suggestion to me of keeping a pitch-adjusted or sustained lyric as one word but sustained with the ] button or mousewheel in EoF works and imo is elegant in its authoring and in its presentation. 2. So a dash at the end of a text note, in EoF, a…
