Introducing 🏁 Season XX of the Rocksmith 2014 Championship

Oct–Dec 2026: Week 676 to Week 688 (13 weeks), from Oct 3, 2026 to Jan 2, 2027. We're in week 3 of 13.

What it is: your main challenge results earn season points that add up over the 13 weeks. Each class on each path is its own championship.

Points: on each week's main challenge (not bonus or God challenges), the top 10 in the class score 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1. The same rules as winning a challenge decide who counts, so playing up or down a class doesn't score. Ties go to more wins, then more 2nd places and so on, then the higher average score over the season.

Champions: whoever leads each class when the season ends is its season champion and claims the trophy.

Most improved: in each class, the biggest Elo gain over the season, for players who play at least 7 of the 13 weeks. A projected winner begins to show in week 4 and adjusts as the season goes on.

New or coming back? Everyone starts the season on zero points and every week counts the same, so any week is a good time to join. Playing well will get you the most points, but playing consistently adds up.

I think this sounds really exciting!!! Totally in favor!

I thought it could be merged with Rodman's rankings, but then I realized that they are very different. Rodman's rankings would be like the FIFA ranking (the estimated classification of the player in the longterm, that keeps changing) while the season Championship would be like the World Cupt (a tournament with defined rules and a declared winner after a defined period).

From the "host" side, if this feature can be added to your site, so that we can just copy/paste the winners from there at the end fo the seasons, should be no problem.

@jimmy655 > I agree about you mentioning the "flow". I've always enjoyed playing Rocksmith, but before joining the Championship, I was actually satisfied if I reached around 95%, and didn't have much motivation to play above that. In contrast, in the Championship you have to actually learn a new song in one week and play at your full capacity! I do like a lot the feeling of being concentrated playing every single milisecond and I feel the "flow". The competition is actually a reason to play as better as you can, while the real motivation for me is knowing that we are all playing the same song all over the world! I visuallize it as if we all gather in a huge hall full of people and we play one by one on the stage! 🤣

Awesome yes! Check out the host tab when you click your profile on the site has prewritten week highlights for hosts to copy paste now + other new features😄 also added an intro popup for first timers on the home page, you should only have to x it out once..

Since @Rodman's is a 10-week rolling ranking + the end of year totals the idea was exactly that, have a shorter defined period where new players and return players can jump in, go all out, and get themselves a title 🏆

I know more about chess so I went with elo for longtem classification but I haven't looked into this FIFA ranking system 👀

prob taking it easy for a bit while everyone gets a chance to try things out and we can see what works and what doesn't work, thanks @cacahuate51 for all the testing and feedback on everything. Halloween week is ready to go for Saturday 👻 looking forward to it!
