This track hits with driving rhythms and soaring vocals — a great test of precision and dynamic control.

Evanescence — Tourniquet (2003)

“Tourniquet,” from Evanescence’s breakthrough album Fallen, merges gothic atmosphere, nu‑metal heaviness, and Amy Lee’s unmistakable vocals. The band’s dramatic, orchestral‑tinged sound helped shape early‑2000s rock, and this track delivers emotional weight alongside crunchy riffs and dynamic shifts — a great pick for expressive playing.

🌞😀🌞 Enjoy! 🌞😀🌞

Added some stats I've been working on to my signature if anyone is curious 😊

Lmk if you spot any mistakes or have any ideas 👀

EDIT: Added pitch shifted versions of some songs above so players that can't tune down can still play.

I remember that in the past we even played a song about 13 minutes long for Masterclass, so it's not a problem (although I know @Rodman is unhappy about it, because it should be a maximum of 10 minutes haha 😄)

However, I know this song well and know that the opening and ending parts are just single chords, and only the middle solo is crazy and hard, so adding this as a bonus is a good choice.

Thanks for hosting @drand! Love all of this info you've added for each song this week, alongside the additional stats.

Bass scores:

Quick couple of 100% sight reads:

Maybe one or two more playthroughs and we'll have this one 100%. Love seeing some funk hit the songs!

I cannot tell you how much I am going to loath going for Child in Time, that ending section is probably the only part that's going to be tricky, and I can only enjoy such a great ten minute epic so many times lol.

more broken strings and no spares.... (if i ever post bass scores this is usually the reason)

always fingerstyle the emulated bass btw if that counts for the pure bassists here, but still feels like cheating to me cos the fret spacing just isnt the same as real bass so dont count my scores!

Thanks for the week @drand Great songs that I didn't know 😁

Bass scores

This one is B standard in bass (the more the merrier 🤩)

I feel that this one is easier than Hell you call a dream

More B std 🤩

Maybe I'll try Drop D in the 5 string 🤔

Lots of fun!! 🤩

The pick went flying in the last part 🤣🫠

Just as I thought, that ending is going to be a pain:

Have a nice musweek everyone! Thanks for hosting @drand !

The Warning - Hell You Call A Dream

Evanescence - Tourniquet

Killswitch Engage - I Believe. Arps...

Klone - Grim Dance

Tower of Power - Come On With It

Deep Purple - Child in Time

Warbringer - The Sword And The Cross. Played it before a few times.

Can't decide what's worse pinch harmonics or arps 😅 let's see how we do!

Loving the new evanescence album, insane vocal performance live always been a big fan and this was the first song I ever heard in an early YouTube fan made music video

This one is a little shot of positivity after the last one 😅 love KSE live what a show 🤩 i am hoping they do what Three Days Grace did and split the vocals with Howard Jones someday but I like what they're doing regardless

OK @drand we need to have a serious talk about your playthrough and guitar technique.

I watched your videos thoroughly and noticed

WHO IS THIS CUTIE:

I have some issues with my hands detection. I think I must change my strings someday.

Thanks for the new week! B standard, always fun :D

I had a really tiresome day though, so it's not going to get any better than this:

By the way, yesterday I saw Textures (progressive metal) and Arson (hardcore punk) at a local festival. It was great fun, I got properly fucked up in the moshpits :D
