In honor of the world cup going on these couple days I have decided to pick songs from countries that have won atleast a match. Tonnes of songs from different countries to pick from but i think it should be a varied enough week and if people enjoy it maybe some other host does something similar in the next weeks with countries i missed :) . There are some easier songs in other classes bonuses so check numbers and if you think they should be lower or higher let me know 🤘

wasnt sure bout advanced lead and masterclass lead so if someone wants to try them out to see which is more difficult let me know. Theres some sweeping in dethklok but the rest is easy, in masterclass the main song seems a bit more tough but "easier" solo

The safety dance men without hats

The Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats is one of the most recognizable synth-pop anthems of the 1980s. Released in 1982 on their album Rhythm of Youth, the song became a global top-ten hit, peaking at No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100. [1, 2]

The Real Meaning: A Protest Song

  • Anti-Bouncer Anthem: Lead singer Ivan Doroschuk wrote the song after being kicked out of a nightclub for "pogoing" (jumping up and down). In the early 1980s, clubs banned pogoing because they thought it was violent punk behavior. [1, 2]

  • Pro-Freedom Message: The song is not about nuclear war or safe sex, as urban legends claim. It is a literal protest about the freedom of expression, dance floor safety, and defying strict club rulesought the comeback was quite impressive so i chose

  • "Wind of Change" by the German rock band Scorpions is an iconic power ballad that served as the unofficial soundtrack to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War. Written entirely by frontman Klaus Meine, it became a massive global hit

    Ksi- Thick Of IT

  • Global Chart Success Despite the Hate

    • Commercial Triumph: Despite being widely mocked online, the song was an undeniable financial success. It peaked at No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 64 on the US Billboard Hot 100. [1, 2]

    • The Sampling Choice: The song's background production features a distinct, underlying sample of the classic Red Hot Chili Peppers track, "Snow (Hey Oh)". [1]

    • Trippie Redd Reunion: This single marked the third major collaboration between KSI and Trippie Redd, who previously teamed up on the 2020 hits "Wake Up Call" and its subsequent remix. [1]

    • "Death to the Crown" is an aggressive, thrash-metal single by the Swedish band The Haunted. It serves as a standout track on their 10th studio album, Songs of Last Resort. The song channels lyrical frustration with political authority, power struggles, and leaders treating everyday people like disposable pawns. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

      Key Facts & Credits

      • Release Date: The song and its music video officially debuted on May 30, 2025, alongside the full Songs of Last Resort LP. [1, 2, 3, 4]

      • Lyrical Meaning: Guitarist Ola Englund, who also directed the song's official music video, explained that the song was born out of sheer frustration with leaders and politicians whose egos run rampant and power goes to their heads, leaving the general public to deal with the messes they create. [1, 2]

      • Track Details: The track is 2 minutes and 56 seconds long and is Track 3 on the

    • Face Fisted - Dethklok ( american band but the fictional guitarist were from norway and sweden)

"Face Fisted" by the virtual death metal band Dethklok is a fan-favorite track originally featured on The Dethalbum (2007). The song is celebrated for its incredibly fast thrash/death metal tempo and comically aggressive, caveman-like lyrics about fighting, invulnerability, and ridiculous insults. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Here are the key facts about the song:

      • The Inspiration: The bizarre, broken-English lyrics—such as "Me hit head. Me nose broke" and "I am be dangerous now"—are a humorous spoof of what the character Nathan Explosion might sound like if he suffered a traumatic head injury. [1]

      • Musical Masterminds: The track was written, composed, and performed by Metalocalypse creator Brendon Small (vocals, guitars, bass), alongside legendary metal drummer Gene Hoglan. [1]

      • Lyrical Themes: The song parodies hyper-macho metal bravado. It features a list of hilarious, nonsensical insults (e.g., "Your mom blew a rat" and "You have sex with cake"), mashed up with the vocalist taking pride in having a "tough face" that literally breaks the opponent's fingers

        Brazil

        BUT
        3-0 against haiti

      • Origin & Release: It was written and composed by Tim Maia himself and debuted on his iconic 1978 album, cementing his transition into the Brazilian disco and soul era. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

      • The "Pneu Furou" Mystery: The famous lyric "Pneu furou, acenda o farol" (Tire blew out, turn on the headlights) is intentionally nonsensical. When asked about it, Tim's guitarist from the original recording session, Hildo, noted that when questioned about the logical inconsistency, Tim just laughed and refused to explain. [1, 2]

      • The "Send For All" Slang: A popular urban legend, amplified on platforms like TikTok, suggests the chorus is a play on the English phrase "send for all," meaning "cast aside" or "throw away" (as in, moving on from a bad relationship). [1, 2]

        France

      • Modjo

        Lady (Hear Me Tonight)

Released in 2000, "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)" by the French duo Modjo is one of the most defining global anthems of the French House movement. It bridged the gap between underground European dance clubs and mainstream worldwide radio, topping charts in over 20 countries. [1, 2, 3, 4]

        Essential Trivia Facts

        • The Chic Sample Salvage: The track's iconic, looping guitar riff is sampled directly from the 1982 song "Soup for One" by the legendary disco band Chic. While the original Chic track was a commercial flop that Nile Rodgers once hated, Modjo's sped-up house edit turned the baseline into a massive global hit. [1, 2, 3]

        • Embarrassment Over Simple Lyrics: Yann Destagnol and Romain Tranchart admitted they felt shy about the lyrics. It was the very first song they wrote together at music school, and because neither considered themselves good writers, they kept the words incredibly basic ("Lady, hear me tonight / 'Cause my feeling is just so right"). [1, 2, 3]

        • The "One-Hit Wonder" Choice: "Lady" was Modjo's debut single and instant peak. After releasing only one self-titled studio album in 2001, the duo intentionally disbanded to pursue separate projects, cementing their status as iconic, one-hit wonders of the millennium era. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

        • A Music Video Born From Frustration: Shot in Quebec, Canada, the universal music video features three teenagers escaping reality on a road trip. Director François Nemeta explicitly designed it with cult teen movies like The Virgin Suicides and Boys Don't Cry in mind to match the track's dual feeling of "sadness mixed with joy"

          Suave Luis Miguel

        • Released in 1993, "Suave" is one of the most celebrated uptempo tracks by Mexican pop icon Luis Miguel. Featured on his multi-platinum album Aries, the track marked a high-energy return to pop and R&B after his era of romantic boleros. [1, 2]

          Essential Trivia Facts

          • The Local Slang Title: The song's title and recurring lyric came naturally to lyricist Orlando Castro because he is from Hermosillo, Sonora. In that region of Mexico, people use the slang word "suave" to describe everything cool, nice, or great. [1, 2]

          • The "Cheesy" Original Demo: When Orlando Castro was first handed the musical backing track by producer Kiko Cibrián, it was recorded on a tiny, basic Casio-style toy organ. He recalled that the original melody sounded so funny and comic that he could barely envision it becoming a massive pop hit. [1, 2]

          • The Rivalry Drama: Netflix's Luis Miguel: The Series dramatized the creation of the song as a direct, petty response to the rising popularity of his 90s pop rival, Cristian Castro. In real life, while the timeline was slightly tweaked for TV, Luis Miguel explicitly asked Kiko Cibrián for a high-energy track that would "move the masses" and blend American R&B with Latin pop. [1, 2]

          • Legendary American Jazz Personnel: To get that premium 1980s American R&B flavor reminiscent of Earth, Wind & Fire, the production team brought in heavy-hitting international session musicians. The track famously features an explosive saxophone solo by acclaimed American jazz artist Kirk Whalum. [1, 2, 4]

          • The Acapulco Visual Legacy: The iconic music video was directed by Kiko Guerrero and filmed entirely on location in Acapulco, Mexico. It solidified Luis Miguel's signature 1990s visual aesthetic: dancing on the beach, unbuttoned shirts, and sun-kissed scenery. [1, 2, 3]
