Yes, I did it manually 🙄 I don't have time to describe these songs like last time. So, I'll just briefly mention that I added a few bonus paths, because songs aren't generally long this week. This add

I can move you there if you want, but maybe you'd prefer to do it competitively? Simply put, if you achieve the best result in Lead MC this week, can you take the win and level up to that class?

Generally, according to the rules, you can always compete for a win in a higher class and earn points; you can't do this for lower classes.

Good question, can I take the win in MC this week? now one can tell that before we see the results. But yeah, I prefer to follow the rules, so now on I will play advanced songs. Thanks Mikson!

Just keep choking on that last phrase, doing ok before then. Reminds me of the time I rented a U-Haul truck to move across Los Angeles. I was terrified of all the rush hour freeway driving and merging, but got through that ok, then breathed a sigh of relief when I got onto my residential street (yes, the house that was burned down in 2025) relaxed and promptly crashed into my neighbor's car. Rocksmith is fortunately a bit less consequential...

Hold on tight everybody...

Something HUGE is coming out of nowhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe what i see there... it's got it ALL in it already as it seems. Open Source and totally free.

We obviously cannot accept any scores from there yet, but i'll have a very close look next week.

Hell yeah!

Looks promising! I installed it on Linux, so let me know if you want me to test anything.

Edit: I ran into an error while converting a PSARC (bloody ffmpeg dependencies), so I'll have to wait for a fix.

Yea I installed it yesterday and gave it a go (i see other competitors have aswell since they are on discord).
I do think chain oversold it though. like the stem splitter, he kinda made it seem like you didnt have to do any processing, but you do. You convert it to a slopak file which does a hdmecus (common stemsplitting process used ) and then you can tweak the volumes. I cant imagine doing that to every song unless you have terrabytes of free memory.

Its a good starting point but imo still needs alot of work and think they should have cooked it more before reaching out to streamers to promote it.
Too much early access stuff nowadays, i guess they are just hoping more people that actually know a thing or two can help contribute.
Things i did like:
-setting up the focusrite was straightforward (unlike in rs, where its hell)
-a windows setup from discord so i didnt have to do any python things.
-a bit faster loading the game (although i think it takes longer loading each song which is bad and i think rs skips some of 10 leading silence seconds and so far didnt seem like it did in slopsmith) .

things i didnt
-looks ugly imo (subjective but just baffles me that people hated r+ and they kinda coppied it instead. It's been 14 years since rs1 so one would think it would look better, even if its community made)

- Note detection wasnt really working for me (which is kind of important😅)

so ill stick with rs untill it gets some revamp but do hope it gets love by people who know how to improve it.

Gave Miley another shot since pavs blessed us with an updated version.

After some serious RR I got to 90% 😅

Judging by your scores, I see that this version is more difficult, so I hope everyone has already downloaded the previous version, because the rating refers to it.

I created this CDLC over 4 years ago, now I think the chart is ok, but the tones don't sound good except for the arpeggios...

Can you link the windows installer please.

Yeah.. only thing i've seen is that CB vid and the screens on the git page...

From that does look way early stage... looked into the code a bit - lots of AI generation which is not bad per se, but i think they are looking for coders to join in which is hopefully happening and in a year or so we really might have an alternative. The plugins do look promising, lots of options.

Having the option to just drop a gp file and play it RS view i wanted for years, would have loved UG and Songsterr to just implement it over there, never got any promising feedback. Now i can sightread tabs, still really like that to come.

Note recognition ... yeah was wondering if they do that on their own or base it on the Fraunhofer polyphonic pitch detection project or something. Looks like they do it on their own - keypoint would be that this works - maybe better (or adjustable) than on RS14, i don't know what you think but for me RS is way too forgiving on "Lates" and regarding nailing the rhythm right, which just doesn't matter most of the time (in contrast to eg Yousician).

Great somesomething is happening in that direction. Let's see.

Hey guys, sorry to bother you but the score here is wrong, it should be in bass 😅

And if you can add this one to Bass as a memory, so that in 10 years I can look at it and say, "wow, I'm still just as bad as I was 10 years ago" 😅🤣🤪

thanks for pointing it out!
I have no proof but i think its the language you have the game in that makes ocr mal detect your scores.
If you could switch to english to see if language is the issue next time you participate that would be nice.
unfortunately i dont code and i think the person who made ocr isnt as active as before.
In the meantime, i have fixed your numbers since there was also some scores registered in lead metalica.

I thought I would have time to play on Saturday to try getting better results. Turns out I didn’t.

Glad you got some scores out though! :)
no host has appointed for next week so you might have more time than usual (but i understand you may also have other plans since its saturday)

No master submissions from me this week, came back down to earth with a bang!

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this one, really nice song

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Haven't heard this one in years, it felt like it was everywhere back when it came out. Then again, that was back when I was in university so maybe it was because I was constantly out partying...

I highly recommend giving their album Some Nights a listen to as well, one of my guilty pleasures!

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

This was great, really enjoyed this song. When I saw the title I was expecting something along the lines of Dance Gavin Dance and it wasn't far off, need to check out more of these guys

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Dang arpeggios, thankfully this is a short song as I ended up with 10+ run throughs but this was the best I could manage, nice work on everyone getting 90%+

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Battery needs no introduction, one of the greatest opening tracks in all of music, never mind metal. Proper picking workout, especially if you try to go full Hetfield and down-pick most of it...

My personal favourite version is off of the 1999 S&M album, the orchestra takes this song to a whole other level.

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Had to do a Rhythm run-through as well!

Best of luck with your scores everyone!
