Since I’m part of the advanced players now, I’ve got to live up to it... I’m managing to play a tiny bit cleaner, but it’s still not quite there. I’ll probably have to use Riff Repeater to really nail

Seeking advice on bass setup:

Hey all, it's great to be back after not having touched a bass for almost a year. But I think I need some adjustments to my setup, and I'd like to ask the bass players for advice. I've got a super high action on my Fender Jazz, and I'd like to lower the action quite a bit since my left hand has still not recovered full strength after rehabbing for many months for some frustrating yet unexplained neuromuscular ailment. I was hoping some of the bassists could comment on the their setup, experiences, and recommendations. I've never played with anything but a really high action, avoiding fret buzz at the cost of requiring a lot of hand strength and endurance - which is not so easy to maintain now. But I don't really know how much lower I should be aiming for. I'd welcome any recommendations or comments about bass setups, string heights at the 12th fret, string gauges, that have worked well for you for playing fast across the entire neck. I'm more interested in straight up clean fast playing without fret buzz than in slapping & popping or other special techniques.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried discord customsforge? theres more bassplayers there that might be able to point you to the right direction. I personally havent switched strings or done any adjustment on my bass since ive had it (over 13 years) which is pretty gross and abnormal (atleast i dont think its normal since ive switched strings on my guitar more times than i can count) so i cant really help sadly.

And I thought that my not changing bass strings for almost 6 years was a long time 😅

Basically, I bought a bass that was well configured so I didn't interfere with it, apart from replacing the batteries and replacing one key that broke.

This really sounds good, nice tone effects.

yo long time no speak.... been getting crackling/tearing audio on rocksmith since an intel driver update on april 6th (another on the 8th, another on the 10th, another on the 11th....) anyone else getting these problems? !or better yet, managed to fix them?!

[650g.jpg](https://postimg.cc/6THvm9Ff) edit: WRONG VERSION

[650g.jpg](https://postimg.cc/BPLNvNzV)

def the intel driver... temp fix by changing .ini file ultralowlatency from 0 to 1, and had to change all inputs and outputs from 24 to 16bit 48k, if anyone else is having trouble, still crackling on the tuner but not mid song at least

I just want to say F U to those bends. I also didn’t want to put too much effort into this song. But hey, at least I’ll be a superstar because Rocksmith told me so.

That’s not cool. I wanted to avoid spending my evening playing this song.

I have plenty of buzz and clatter but you cant hear that through the amp so its fine
I have about 2.5mm clearance Thick string and 2mm thin string.
When using a capo and the first fret and holding the thick string at the body (17thfret), I get about 0.40mm
Which Is maybe a little too much but its ok you want between 0.25mmto 0.35mm ideally.

Is it enough ?

I still haven’t fully understood the difference between Score Attack mode and Learn a Song mode when it comes to the leaderboard.

Usually, I always play in Learn a Song, but I get the impression that the percentage decimals are only taken into account in Score Attack mode. At the same time, I can see that I was given 98.40% for “Escape From The City” on lead, even though I played it in Learn a Song mode.

According to the rules, playing in Learn A Song mode only gives full percentages, not decimals. However, since we use automatic OCR added scores, things like the ones you mentioned may appear 😬

Ok folks, new championship week will start in about an hour!
