Since I’m part of the advanced players now, I’ve got to live up to it... I’m managing to play a tiny bit cleaner, but it’s still not quite there. I’ll probably have to use Riff Repeater to really nail it I’m at 70% speed for now, and it’s going pretty well.

Tomorrow I’ll also post my rhythm scores, just to carve out a spot for myself in that ranking.

Lead scores - I played most of these songs before during testing

This is an old score, but I recently played this again because I couldn't remember the chart and it's really difficult to achieve a high score. The chart is a bit hard to read.

Someone once asked me what chart I'd rate a 1. Now I can tell you that I just played that chart! I don't know why this is rated 2, because this is probably the easiest guitar chart I've seen here, with green and purple 4s hitting at the same slow tempo. @Rodman Give it a 1 and let's make history! 😄

Done, m8! History is made.

It´s becoming the only 4th rhythm track rated 1, and we should probably check the other 3 if they deserve that medal :)

i agree with job and atta that this is rated a bit too high and could pass as a 1 for bass or is it possible even lower lol

i think the cdlc could use a revisit. dont think those bends are right. to me it sounds more like it should bend 16 to 18 rather than 18 to 19 and the rhythm path could be hords instead of single notes but 🤷‍♂️

If we keep going, we’ll have to hit 100% on "Save Yourself".

As for @cacahuate51 it’s going to be hard to beat him on Dire Straits, considering he did that in just one try and I can’t even manage to get back to 90%. 🥲

Seeking advice on bass setup:

Hey all, it's great to be back after not having touched a bass for almost a year. But I think I need some adjustments to my setup, and I'd like to ask the bass players for advice. I've got a super high action on my Fender Jazz, and I'd like to lower the action quite a bit since my left hand has still not recovered full strength after rehabbing for many months for some frustrating yet unexplained neuromuscular ailment. I was hoping some of the bassists could comment on the their setup, experiences, and recommendations. I've never played with anything but a really high action, avoiding fret buzz at the cost of requiring a lot of hand strength and endurance - which is not so easy to maintain now. But I don't really know how much lower I should be aiming for. I'd welcome any recommendations or comments about bass setups, string heights at the 12th fret, string gauges, that have worked well for you for playing fast across the entire neck. I'm more interested in straight up clean fast playing without fret buzz than in slapping & popping or other special techniques.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not really a bass player, and I can't slap. But my usual advice is to try lighter strings first.
Other than that, start changing the height in small increments and play-test extensively. Once you discover you went too far, back up a bit and there's your sweet spot.
No numbers, since it's different for everybody.
