Thanks for the great tribute week! 10 CDLCs, what a lot of work 😮

Anything less would have been unacceptable:

I should play more songs from Geezer Butler, it's great practice material:

It's getting late, so I'll just play through these once for now:

I was really sure I set the whole song at 100% beforehand. Maybe the game turned down the difficulty after I missed so many notes 😬

@ cacahuate51  Link to this in the Lead path goes to a different song, which is why I missed this in Lead scores yesterday.

And today Rhythm scores

Quite difficult for a beginners, a bit too much difference between Lead (6.5 - ok) and Rhythm (3).

ZW7pnjx.jpeg

This, in turn, seems too easy for a 5 (was the rating lower at the beginning of the week?). Yesterday I mentioned that Lead is 6, but perhaps the best is Lead 5.5 and Rhythm 4.5.

It's a pity that this is only bonus song in each path. Really nice song.

Nice arpeggios, a bit worse with recognizing chord slides.

Nice.

You Can't Kill Rock and Roll (MC bonus) doesn't have a Rhythm path so I assume we should play Lead?

ah ok thanks for mentioning them! thought i fixed most of my mistakes pointed out in discord aswell but guess not.

Yeah I thought that song was probably gonna get suggested for higher in rhythm. The way I saw it is theres really only 3 sections  and it mostly just uses 2 strings-
1 is repeated throughout most of it which is the bendy riff
2 is the 3 5 6 chord riff (which is very common in rock)
3 the outro.
So imo theres not much going on but maybe speed is an issue? Lead is way higher cause of the solo ( like most of ozzys songs they might be easy but then theres a solo so it kinda requires more practice).
Still, let me know what number you'd rate the rhythm so we can balance it if needed.

i switched the lead to 5.5.  Connies rhythm I am still unsure about. Technically shouldnt be too bad if you know how to play the chords. However, seems like intermediate players are struggling with it so I am not sure wether to lower it or not.

RIP to Ozzy. \m/

Huge impact on getting me into heavy metal. Black Sabbath made me want to play guitar, Ozzy's solo stuff made me want to shred 😆

Here are some of my scores for the week

Never really listened to much of this album before.

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

This one took a couple attempts, and runs through the solo in riff repeater lol. Best I've got for now

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

HAPPY SHREDDING! 😁

Miss one note and down to 98.5%. Lots of cords I don't know in the intermediate song plus I'm tired of hearing it on the internet, so I'm going to skip that one this week.

Yes, I think the main difficulty is speed. That 7th-fret bend has to be played quickly between other notes, and every few repetitions it's combined with a fast riff (but not too technically difficult). I think I'd give this a 4.

Not a great week. Got injured at the gym on Sunday and now I've just got back into the shed to practise with a giant boot on for my achilles tendon (now feel like the guy from the Simpsons in the Aussie episode). Result this is my first shot at this weeks songs and some other Ozzy songs.

Where did "Pretty Little Baby" come from? Big difficulty spike, though might just be me not warmed up, new strings (after a year of not wanting to replace them) and just being bad at quick chord changes, GIT GUD I think the kids say.

Back to what matters watched Ozzy and his family go through Birmingham on Wednesday on TV so many people turned up to pay respects to this icon, legend we call Ozzy, thank you for the memories and the wonderful entertainment wherever that be music, the Osbournes and more, honestly thank Ozzy for those memories.

Still have  pain in wrist especially if I try to hold a chord ffs so no scores for me this week .

Big Streak - need to fake the solo better (totally falls apart for me)

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Better fake on the solo, but not so big of a streak

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Can't improve it (and always get a strike somewhere in the middle):

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Improvement:

hii im backk
ive only heard of pretty little baby this week through twitter and its such a good song

image.png?ex=688f8517&is=688e3397&hm=4c6image.png?ex=688f8520&is=688e33a0&hm=828image.png?ex=688f8526&is=688e33a6&hm=5caimage.png?ex=688f8537&is=688e33b7&hm=280image.png?ex=688f853e&is=688e33be&hm=2ec

What a week of songs, great to have to a tribute to Ozzy. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was lucky enough to go see him at Back to The Beginning, hard to believe that he would pass away less than 3 weeks later. He got one hell of a send off and well and truly deserved it.

Now, onto the scores:

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

My first ever 100%! Not going to lie, I was sweating when I saw everyone else get 100% so I was locked in, longest 3:13 of my life...

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Connie and her damn chords threw me the first time but after the second and third playthroughs I got the hang of them. Lost most of my percentage on the little solo runs, very tricky little bits.

Now, the Ozzman's songs:

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Ozzy has had some phenomenal guitarists over his solo career and it showed those songs; riffs and sections that sound simple are anything but (looking at you Shot In The Dark!). Reckon I lost most of my scores on any bending, especially in One of Those Days. Don't know if because I using a drop pedal to drop down the half step or if I'm just not quite there with the pitch. Either way, something to work on.

I'm going to do both Ozzy and Sabbath suggestions because you can't have one without the other, especially over the past few weeks. This is in no particular order!

Ozzy

1. Crazy Train

2. Mr Crowley

3. No More Tears

4. Perry Mason

5. Patient Number 9

6. Mama, I'm Coming Home

7. Bark At The Moon

8. Over The Mountain

9. Hellraiser

10. I Don't Want to Change The World

Black Sabbath

1. Paranoid

2. Black Sabbath

3. War Pigs

4. N.I.B

5. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

6. Into The Void

7. Sweet Leaf

8. Supernaut

9. Fairies Wear Boots

10. Children of the Grave

Best of luck with the scores everyone!

Last stretch (or until the new week begins and the temperature is below 30C) 🤣
