that japanese week sounds like fun! even without this song 😛 dont really know many japanese songs so that would be cool to try something new 

Slides and bends are problem here (for me). But at least I did it without strikes 😎

Oh this is hard, although it's mainly a chord chart, these are awkward chords to play and you have to switch quickly. 6 most likely, or maybe 6.5.

I really like this! This arpeggio riff is quite problematic for me, I don't know if I can master it well.

Also pretty good.

 

Hmm. I think I would rate this a 7.5 or maybe even an 8.

Maybe my tremolo picking is too slow.

↓They are very famous in Japan. This song is very difficult. I could get higher score for me but maybe my sound is very dirty.

Tried to beat yesterday's myself. But nothing. Rhythm don't wanna be completed and pushes me miss in different positions even if I don't change left hand position and don't change right hand strings punishment.

Lead part a little better. But I made a lot of mistakes and slides almost all are wrong.

I'm not happy with myself today.

At the time I rated this, I was intermediate. I thought I would never achieve advance, but could play more or less the main chord-riff of this song after quite some practice, so my understanding was that, if I could manage to play this, should be intermediate... I think I rated it a bit too low, but it is hard to clearly recognize the boundaries between intermediate-advance, and advance-masterclass in guitar! 😅

As always, It's a struggle for me to belong in advanced class in guitar!! 😅 But I am happy to have this challenge! 🤟

I needed a Zen monk  like concentration to play the arpeggio through the song!!!  🤣

This is the best I can do for now after a deep RR session...

 

 

Regarding King Gnu and Ichizu, as @ loudly  also pointed out, its very mainstream in Japan. This is the kind of band you would go to see at a Rock festival, but at the same time this song and others by them have been used as a theme songs for anime and other things. I think it is very cool that the kids are also listening to this while watching anime. I follow the Youtube channel of the music producer Rick Beato, and he is always complaining that the songs at the top of the charts in the US are not bands playing instruments anymore, but that is not the case at all in Japan. I checked again quickly and this song was in the top of one music chart in 2022.  Here  I post the links of the music videos (original version and anime version) in case you are interested.

Thanks for this, it was interesting to watch how they are picking this.  I need to rework what I am doing to match the muting better and make that upstroke more dramatic.

A few slides and string skipping part broke it but I really glad I beat 99%. Really interesting and enjoyable to play to this song.
