2. But then again, the CS is more than than just leaderboards. It's got a social element that, imo, is even more important. Also, just the fact that there's a new track every week makes it that:
    a. you have to play stuff from genres you wouldn't normally play
    b. you can see your competitors progress in real time
    c. once you get the win no one can take it away.
    d. Since you only got a week to do it, you're forced to push yourself everytime.
Of course, if you can win every time with a sight-read it's easy to miss. But for us mere mortals it's a totally different game than a straight up leader board.

I was busy playing Karma Chameleon 😆, but I wanted to be part of this conversation...

@ nlbsmglsk  I agree with all you are saying about the reasons to be in the Championship!!!🍻

 

 

 

@ Rodman  and fellow organizers.... I have one question since I am a bit confused about bass ratings... In "Da rules" it says...

But no one seems to be following this rules for rating bass, including in the format to add songs in the SSL:

That means the answer is rating bass the same way as guitar, right????

In 2021, we changed the range of difficulty ratings for each class, but after some time we returned to the old system, where the ratings for bass are the same as for guitar. This was due to discussions and the difficulty of finding enough songs with sufficiently difficult bass paths.

probably my best and final lead mc score since I don't like (or really understand) the solos

It's not really a rank, it's just an extra challenge open for anyone. It's also not new, GoG songs have been posted here for years (certainly longer than I've been around), just not every week has those.

Beginner Alt Bass. I didn't even know I could tune down my short scale this much and have it still kind of sound ok. Opens up a lot more songs for me to try.
