I had some spare time and I liked the royal republic song so I decided to make my own version /cdlc. Its not perfect but i think its a bit closer to what they play.
EDIT: I changed the album cover so its more obvious which version is which and some notes in the chorus for the rhythm path to what i saw in their live videos

the lead path is a mix of what the singer plays on the guitar and the rhythm just so there isnt any awkward long spaces.

Glad to hear the SSL has been updated but agree with Mikson on the feedback. Why would “bass only” mean anything but a CDLC with only bass charted? If you’re referring to multi track, that should be designated as “no guitar” or “no bass” depending on which audio stem is left out.

 Just out of curiosity how does the rng for songs of the week work? I never knew.
Are the suggestions just sorted by each category (beg/int/adv/m) then numerated from 1 to x? and then you use like google pick me a number or a random number generator with those parameters to get the cdlc thats being played? or how

Because this is an old CDLC, it's too slow for today's scroll speed standards, which makes it hard for me to feel notes. I'll leave it at that.

Ok after some practice I managed to get this, but got progressively worse after each try :C. This is best I got.

My wife used to play Rocksmith 5 years ago before getting pregnant. Actually it was her who told me about the game. She started from scratch and became very good soon, but quit for a while. She is less busy now and will start soon, so I can't wait to play songs together!!!

Yeah - i personally use a random number generator i find in google

HOW TO DO SONGSELECTION:

 

Best way is to use RNG (Random Number Generator) to select songs independently.

 

Note that you will have to

1) sort the SSL for Lead diff first (please please do that by marking ALL FILLED COLUMNS or you mess up the sheet!)

 

2) Do RNG on all difficulties (beg 1-3, int 4,5 mc 8,9) but

2.1. if a player has more than 1 suggestion in one group that shall only count as 1 to take away the advantage in RNG

2.2. if possible the song picked shall not be from the same player as from the week before

2.3. as soon as you have a song picked go to Songs Played, Press Ctrl-F and search for it to see if it has recently been played (at least a good year shall have passed!)

2.4. Test the song for Diff (all 3 paths), and quality (incl. Tone, Sync and RR) - generally one run and a short hit of the spacebar and checking if sections are selectable and RR does start will do.

2.5. If there are issues with the song please leave a comment in SSL - a lot issues can be repaired easily, and go back to 2.1

 

3) So if you got 4 songs bring in order (an excellent hidden place for that is going to the Xmas/special occations Sheet and scroll down to line ~150 😉 )

3.1 missing rhy or very rarely lead arrangements can be left blank marked as n/a IF there has been an arrangement there in the week before, else choose one from Songs from the past (songs played), spare arrangements, or - if the arrangement from the next level class is not way too hard, you can give that to the lower class also!

3.2 if rhy and bass arrangements cannot match all 4 classes - choose from songs from spare arrangements, the past (songs played), from bass only songs or as above give next higher arrangment to the lower class too.

3.3 If you do not use one of the arrangements for above reasons put them in as BONUS arrangements for the corresponding class or put it into the SSL-SPARE ARRANGEMENTS sheet in SSL document!
