Cradle Robber, the Bonus song for Bass Advanced is really fun.  However that intro riff in The Tragedy of the Modern Ages was a little too much for me.  Despite an ok score of 96% I almost struck out in score attack mode 😄.  Maybe its an 8?  Whatever the case, ill try to get back to it sometime this week and see if i can get it down.

I broke my left arm the Wednesday before last. Riding my e-bike to the library, tried to avoid traffic. Hit a curb. The bike stopped. I didn't. Anyway, I can manage a D, C and G chord. Maybe A and E.

MC songs are sup hard, i will play like ten minutes a day this week on the bed since we don't have space. So I'm aiming to the easiest song 😅

Great, I'll have more time to get Revocation songs down.

@ nlbsmglsk

I can see the selection has been reduced but you asked for the difficulty ratings so I'm showing everything I played today.

.

Something on the borderline of intermediate and advanced (5.5). Quite a slow pace.

20220815201643-1.jpg

.

The rhythm is a little easier. Intermediate for me (5).

20220815202433-1.jpg

.

6-6.5

20220815203537-1.jpg

.

Uncomfortable to play. Very slow scroll speed makes it difficult for me to feel. 5.5 is probably ok.

20220815204244-1.jpg

.

5-5.5. The only difficulty is those stretched power chords.

20220815204644-1.jpg

.

Isn't that the same chart as in Lead? Maybe some minor differences (3).

I don't want to sound disrespectful, I assume you guys already know this and your problems probably lie elsewhere. But as a player who doesn't own a Floyd equipped guitar, you make it sound like it's impossible to tune the thing.

Here's a guide for the floyd beginners: https://youtu.be/wJIXFFFxf_g . Tuning the thing is not that hard, it just takes more time.

Bonus is just bonus, it doesn't affect the rankings. I don't know if it affects the player level. @ Rodman Can you clarify?

It doesn´t affect the rankings.
For Player XP Level i did a lot of thinking about that... XP Level shows how a player performs in the CS, that includes his level of playing at that exact time and the time / amount of tries / ev. RR time he spends on that special song. So.. as bonus songs are hardly played the same amount of tries/time as the main ones final decision was that bonus songs may lower XP level and are not counted so far.
I am happy to get other inputs and discussion about that and all ruling.

Rod.

No disrespect taken, but Floyds are a pain in the ass to tune, takes forever especially for intonation. And it's not easy anyway.

I had only two guitars for more than 20 years, both with Floyd rose so I'm used to setup them, in every detail, and know some shortcuts and tricks. But without lock it takes like 1 min max to retune, even intonation, with Floyd can take up 15 minutes for a single tuning + intonation, and also to do just drop tuning you have to retune multiple times the other string because every string balances the others. So with Floyd you start to avoid retuning, or ditching intonation at least.

Fortunately I have one guitar with Floyd always tuned to E, the other with Floyd always tuned to drop D, then i go with the drop pedal to detune (but it's never like the native experience)

Also higher notes on high E on my main don't get always caught correctly (like from 22 to 24), even if intonation is fine.

That said, it really depends on a lot of stuff so obviously Floyd is not the main problem.

But,if someone must have only one guitar, Floyd rose needs to be avoided 😂

I found some time ago that my tremolo bridge causes the issue when changing tunings.

The effect is when you change i.e. from E to Eb the bridge is getting loose as you tune in consecutive strings.

The effect is when low E is tuned down to Eb 1st, then A is Ab etc.. after high E is tuned down to Eb the low Eb, Ab, etc.. are all out of tune.

So even if you pass final tuning check (calibration?) your strings are a little bit off, which may have an effect during play.

I have 2 solutions for this problem.

1) Re-tune over and over from top to bottom (or bottom to top - depends how rocksmith is showing it 😉) until all strings are "perfectly"  tuned - basically press space after each top-to-bottom tuning and repeat the process

2) before tuning loose all the pegs a little and then start your tuning, you can repeat method 1) to be sure, but few less tries will be needed

however, if you have fixed bridge, you still may experience this as the fretboard may be a little flexible giving similar effect but to much less extent.

hope this helps.

yea i end up retuning over and over i used to do the loose pegs thing as well but end up having to retune over and over anyways thanks for the tips

I ended up with having 3 guitars for different tunings 😉
