@ Rodman  anychance you can update the urls in your signature? kind of interested in all of them tbh but it comes with an error whenever i click on them ,begginer course , get rid of cdlc, multiple pcs and rs toneswitch

Problem i just cannot find the button to edit my sig since the forum was renewed... it´s NOT in the profile no more ... any idea where i can find that secret button?

I cannot get the bass track on the beginner song to work

 

One of my favorite songs from my favorite band. I know this is a intermediate song, but I want to try 90%+ charting all three paths on this song this week, If I pull it off, I'm considering going to intermediate class on all three paths beginning next week.

This is called rocksniffer, you can get live feedback and percentage on top of the screen as you play the song, that way you have an idea of how good your performance is while performing. There's a download link somewhere on this site,  There are tutorials on YouTube. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to send a YT link here, because some forums simply don't allow links for obvious reasons, even though my intentions is not to infect other people's computers.

thats exaactly what i wanted! thought it was just a hidden feature in rs mods that i couldnt find yet .
ive seen videos since your comment and downloaded it. Am i wrong to assume that the percentage only works if you have obs opened up and linked it to the browser page? so its kinda like a overlay for obs thing.... because i just opened it up normally and i saw it detecting songs once i also opened rs but the game seemed exactly the same without the overlays

I got it to work without OBS, but if you are struggling to get it to work without OBS, an good alternative is to record the song and watch back and see how good you played certain sections and where you messed up the most. So not to be rude, but I don't think it is right to assume that it only works when OBS. I usually just go into the folder of my download and run the Rocksmith GUI application and I have no problem from there, except if you have to restart a song in Learn A Song, You'd have to exit the song and then press play again.

As it often happens, I have a lot of reservations about the difficulty rating of the songs played in the past.

This is easy 2. @ Rodman , I suggest lowering difficulty rate because it's very easy to do 99+ here (I think anyone can do it), and this is not a chart for leveling to the intermediate class.

I'm not a Metallica fan from this recording period. As for the rating, I agree this is 5, but the CDLC is not of the highest quality.

Ehh, here difficulty rate is too low. For me this is 8 and this should be a masterclass. While there are no solos, the whole chart is fast and technical. Besides, it's not my cup of tea at all...

I would rate this at 7-7.5 max. This is an advanced class for me.

In conclusion, I suggest switching songs between advanced class and masterclass.

I Disappear - bass:

 

I play using a Bigshot ABY pedal and my amp. I've been watching youtube "how to play" videos, and am convincing myself I need a Crybaby wah pedal for doing the lead. I don't need it for the competition. I could play it on my Windows laptop that doesn't have as much delay as my Ubuntu desktop so I could use the in-game sound effects. It probably wouldn't arrive in time. But I think I need a wah wah pedal. Yes, I need to order a Crybaby wah. For reasons.  😉 

 

Edited to add: Crybaby wah pedal ordered. Won't arrive until after this week's competition is done. But what the hey. Reasons.
