Hello folks. I feel I kind of have to chime in this week with some scores 🙂

This is all the funk I managed to get out today:

My tapping definitely could use some work there:

I like to play Gary Moore's songs a lot. So maybe I'm a bit biased when I consider this one merely a 5-6 😉 I think most of my misses are from those high-pitched bends that rarely register. And also I'm not sure whether to count this as a 92.4% or 95% score.

At lastly, I've got some very fond memories of this old adventure/RPG game 🙂

It's a 95% score. Accuracy this always the most important number. Only when accuracy is equal, we will take streak and the score from Score Attack (in this order) into account.

I saw we're posting recent gear pick-ups, I just snagged a used Fender HH Meteora which I'm quite in love with: 

It was $450, has a chip in the finish but given it's otherwise in great shape and originally retailed for 1k I'm quite happy with the price.

Soon a Boss Katana 100 MkII will arrive which I snagged for $256 off of ProAudioStar.

Corrected, Leaderboard recalced and redrawn, all is good, world is safe again

Just to get something on the leaderboard. I'll try to improve that later today but we will see

 

This was tough with only 22 frets, and just when you think the song has a perfect ending - there's a section with a bunch of random nonsensical notes?!?  Weird.

How does this song keep getting more fun??

@Rodman Here is my recording of Country Roads.  Funny story, I learned the chords in the key of A, (A F#m E D progression).  Independently I plucked out the melody from a MIDI file.  I worked it out to play in a nice little box on the 7th fret with no shifting and recorded it.  I went to lay my background rhythm chords down and found my keys didn't match!  I had to relearn the chords in a D Bm A G D progression. 

This is all recorded on my PRS. I don't really know how to EQ things yet, and I struggled mightily to get the rhythm part so it wasn't competing with the lead, I think since they are both in the same octave.  Adding a touch or reverb to both tracks helped quite a bit.
