Hi, folks. I'll be using this thread to maintain the latest versions of EOF in one place. To start, download and extract EOF 1.8RC13: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/eof You can keep that zip file handy to avoid downloading it more than once. When I release a new hotfix, all you have to do is replace the files from the above zip file with the ones from the hotfix. The latest hotfixes get posted in the same place: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/eof *If you use a non QWERTY US English keyboard layout, and keyboard controls/shortcuts aren't working for you, please make a post describing what keyboard shortcuts aren't working, and what the Info pane…

  2. I know you can shift+left-click and ctrl+left-click to select a group of notes. But it selects EVERY note. I'm trying to select a row of green notes and ONLY green notes, but it will select all the notes when I ctrl or shift left-click. How do I select ONLY one colored set of notes. I've been selecting each note one by one, but there is like 20 notes within only a 5 second period. I'm trying to edit drums that have a crash cymbol (green) acting as a high hat (yellow). Also can you only move those notes (from green to yellow) without moving every single other colored note? When I try to move the green notes, it selects all notes and moves them time-wise. I'm not trying to …

  3. Hi all, I'm really struggling to get EOF to work. I may be stupid I am trying to make a Lead Guitar CDLC for Kletka by Molchat Doma. I import the downloaded .ogg file into EOF and set the bpm and time signature to what the tab says (130 bpm and 4/4). I then try and import the .mid MIDI file I paid for. I try and open the .gp file, but it doesn't even show up in the pop-up file explorer for importing Guitar Pro files. Back to the .mid file, I open the file and get an error "At least one beat marker was inserted due to mid beat tempo or time signatures changes in the imported file. Make sure to clean up the beat map or update time signatures accordingly" and the…

  4. I had a GP file that had a ton of stuff on it, bass, guitar, drums. And I imported it into EoF to make the guitar a dlc, however, I just noticed the original GP file is gone. Did it get moved or renamed somewhere? Is there any chance of recovering it?

Hi. I give up on this chords. Maybe someone can help me. Here the problem: Chords contains slides with open notes and fingerings are 1-3. Here how it looks with tech notes: If i remove frethand positions at this chords, ingame this chords shows super long on fretboard (from 2 to 6 fret, 6 to 9 and etc). If no - dlc builder shows me this: I can ignore this and chart works, but how i solve this problem correctly? I've tried to separate open notes and place them as crazy before chord at 0.001 seconds, but dlc builder give me errors anyway.

Although I have seen several tutorials, I still do not understand how to make slides from the editor. If I want the slide to be made from the note to the bottom or to the top it is toggle slide up and down, but if I want it to be the slide to the note, how is it done? Reverse, set end, unpitched, pitched, how are they used? They don't do anything to me.

  9. Hi! I'm currently trying to chart "Lie To My Face" by Carnifex, and I have a decent tab and everything. I have to convert it to .gp5 from .gp in tux guitar, and when I import it into EOF it says "This file has an invalid note length of 6 and is probably corrupt" I can't find anything wrong in the tab and can't find anything online to fix it. What can I Do?

  10. Hi, I am currently updating my CDLCs and building them with the CDLC Builder. I have some errors I don't know how to fix. and I tried to re-generate hand positions and fingerings but it didn't fix the issue. As for the linknext I have notes set up like this It's power chords that should have index finger slide from 4th to 5th fret and 7th is supposed to be the linknext I think. Idk. I'm lost on this one... Anyone can tell me what I should do to fix these?

Hi, I'm sure I'm missing something but whenever I import a tab in EOF and automatically generage fingerings, I get weird fingerings like - power chord with a root note 0 (0-2-2) EOF generates fingerings (- -3-4) and FHP of 2 and it generates an error later on in DLC builder. Edit: In fact every double stop has 3-4 fingering. - drop D tuning - any chord that should be one one finger like 1-1-1 on the lowest strings generates as 1-2-3 Is this some sort of a limitation or something wrong with my workflow/EOF settings?

I used EOF to type in lyrics today -- is it really that easy? Or is there a surprise waiting for me? I added pitchless lyrics. One question I have is it doesn't seem like I can adjust the length of the "notes" (since there are none) - does this affect the way the lyrics are displayed in Rocksmith -- that is, how long will the lyrics remain visible?

Colleagues, I wanted to ask you what is the correct way to divide the sections in EOF, I activate Sifth S to divide, but I don't know how to select the parts, if I have to select only the beginning or beginning and end of each timeline, section the song but when I export it in rocksmith they don't appear

It is in Rocksmith 2014. The file is perfectly synced in Go PlayAlong. But it starts at 00:21 with the first note. No problem in EOF: But in Rocksmith I say 18 of those 20 seconds are ignored and it starts right away. See here: https://avDS923.quickconnect.to/mo/sharing/j2DT6NzSj What can cause this problem?

  18. Sometimes there is a good CDLC with a very small chart mistake: a wrong note, a missing marker, an awkward fretting, and so on. I would like to learn how to make such small chart fixes myself, with the minimum amount of work. Can someone help me out writing a step-by-step guide for this purpose? I expect that such process in broad strokes goes like this: 1- unpack a CDLC into individual files 2- edit the chart file in EoF 3- repack/rebuild the CDLC What tool to use for steps 1 & 3, and what file to edit? What would be the details of each step? Any other steps required? I am trying to keep this to the minimum effor…

Hello, I'm having an issue where my fingerings from eof are not showing when I run the file in rocksmith. I believe I read that only chords will show the fingerings? I have a fingerstyle song where I do have chords but they are arpeggiated. How exactly do I arpeggiate the chords in eof so that my fingerings will show properly? I see there is an arpeggio dropdown under pro guitar but I don't know what to do after that. Thank you!

  20. I haven't made a custom in over a year. I updated to the latest version of EoF and the latest hotfix for it. Well I started the process as I remember it. Open EoF, click on new, select the MP3 that I want to use.. select the bit rate I want it converted too... but then I get the window to select MP3, OGG.. etc etc pops up again after selecting the bit rate... what? So I select the MP3 AGAIN and then I get an error that it couldn't find guitar.ogg. Which I know of course is the audio file EoF uses for the backing track.. so i go into the folder and there is indeed no guitar.ogg file. It seems EoF is not creating the guitar.ogg file at all. Is there something I am mis…

Ive tried everything i have come across on forums. I am using ultrastar to make the lyrics, although every time i try to import, i get (invalid lyric file). Ive tried removing anything extra as far as commas and such, ive tried saving as UTF-8 and ANSI with no different results. im not sure what im doing wrong at this point. Lyrics file here. https://mega.nz/file/FW0HULDS#ry0Kk860TKQiYxi97DtFA8nBVembgRcBhlhRksCsgrU

  22. So I have a chart ready to publish and I have an issue I have never seen before. A handful of Open E notes are appearing bugged out in the far right of the chart rather than on the highway. There are many Open E notes but not all are affected. I have tried deleting the notes and adding them again but this didn't help. Has anyone seen this?

  23. Is there a way to view/show the actual bass notes instead of fret numbers when playing a song? Thank you.

I'm new to creating CDLC and thought GPA would make things easier as I struggle with EOF. However, I see no way or instructions anywhere on how to export from GPA into a format that can be used by EOF. There was a link in another thread but it's 404. For now I can only see the option to export as PDF. I'm sure that I am missing an obvious step ...
