Hey guys, need some headphones for when I'm practicing at night and don't want to bother anyone. I am not looking for earbuds. I play Guitar (lead mostly) if that makes a difference. I play RS on PC, but also want to plug headphones into my amp too for practice. So, what do you recommend? I don't want earbuds, just some good quality headphones (maybe something with it's own volume?) I understand the limits of headphones, but it would be nice to have something that sounds decent, I already use a pair of Sony's. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but I don't want to cheap out either. Let me know guys, it is greatly appreciated (links are helpful too!)

Well you know how it goes , browsing through ebay as you do when you come across a nice shiney cool looking bass. I checked out the reviews and what they cost new and placed my maximum bid . well i only went and got it for less than half what they cost new :) http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah142/Doug_N_Shaz_Brooks/ebhbbks_zpslnlgku6l.png So it arrived and have it in front of me but the intonation is a little off, I normally set up my own gear with no problem but i have never seen this kind of bridge (ABM) . http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah142/Doug_N_Shaz_Brooks/BB-3420-003-web_1024x1024_zpsi2udnwss.jpg any advice on how to adjust it would be very welcome. Hey guys, I have searched the forums for this topic and haven't found anything. So I want to play some of the amazing metal customs that you've all worked so hard to create. However, some songs require a very low tuning (B standard) like Amon Amarth , (B drop A) like Slipknot for instance. I would like to put some heavy gauge strings on my guitar. I have another guitar I'm willing to do this with. My question is, do I have to raise the action on this guitar to tune so low, even with heavy gauge strings? What gauge would you use? What advice can you give? Thank you so much!

So I got a Fender Rumble 15 to use with my bass and Rocksmith. I've looked at the posting on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/rocksmith/comments/3hdnte/how_to_get_rocksmith_and_your_amp_working/ and I've searched on here but I'm a tad confused. I have the PC version of Rocksmith and mostly listen through headphones as it disturbs the house if others are home and I use the PC speakers. What I want to achieve is hooking up the AMP using the DI box and cable mentioned in the Reddit post to my PC and being able to hear the AMP and Rocksmith through my headphones. Is this doable ? If so, what would I need to do that? Thank you for your help.

I should probably know this but... I've been playing Audio Slave's "Gasoline" recently and the top string is tuned down to "B" so it is BADGBE tuning. Is it a bad idea (like warp the neck bad idea) to leave a guitar in this tuning? Should I just re-tune to E Standard when I'm done for the day? If I took lessons from a real person I would ask them but RS and you guys are basically my guitar teacher at this point. Thanks!

Hi, is there a way to play Rocksmith along with the presets from Guitar Rig 5/Amplitube? Also I have Pod HD500x. Is it possible to change the presets with Pod? Is there a way to combine Pod and Guitar Rig 5?

Owner doesn't know the model. Wondering if you can help me out. $80 for bass, stand, and bag. Should I jump on it? For reference, the cheapest Yamaha bass I see on Musician's Friend is $200.

I was just chuckling away at this parody on YouTube: "Things beginner guitarists say" - Jared Dines but when he got to "praising" B.C. Rich I found that a bit weird and googled up about that, and seems that they're getting some bad rep out there. Now the reason I'm asking is that I found one locally (Korean made), for quite cheap as apparently it need some little maintenance, and while I haven't still seen it now I'm not that sure if I even should. I understand that the "edgy" look might not be for some, but then again I don't like Les Paul's either (oh yes, I just went there) so that's not really what I care about, but I've read that the overall build quality is a bit …

I primarily play metal and rarely clean, I run my delay and chorus in the amp's effects loop using a Zoom G2.1. Will my tone improve much switching to analog pedals, or will the analog distortion in my pre-amp not make much of a difference in the quality of the delay pedal?

This is a question from a low tech guy. I have a 15w Line 6 amp with an input jack for an iphone designed to play backing tracks thru the amp allowing me to play along. Question – would it be okay to run the cable from the headphone jack on my laptop into the amp to play backing tracks and also play Rocksmith thru the amp? Don’t want to fry the laptop but I’d like to be able to play backing tracks and RS2014 from the laptop to the amp if it won’t fry either one.

Hey guys, I've been around for a bit but I'm new to the forum. Anyway, I've been working on building a custom semi-hollow guitar. I wanted something that I could really feel was mine, and I had just graduated college and I do a lot of electronics work, so I figured I could do something really cool. Went with Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbuckers for pickups, Gotoh locking tunders and a Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge, a Bigsby B70 tremolo, as well as other minor choices. I was going to go for kind of a gold hardware on dark-greyish for color. When I realized I screwed up was I completely overestimated my woodworking ability for the body. I went through Guitar Fetish twice f…

Hi guys! I had a little 'accident' and one of my tuning pegs broke off :( So I called the closest guitar shop, explained evertyhing drove there and picked up some cheap (20€) mashine heads. After getting back home I quickly noticed that these mashine heads would be a downgrade in terms of quality and I would have to drill new holes for some screws. Because I don't want to drill new holes in my headstock to install subpar machine heads I googled like mad to find something that would fit wihout modification. So I own a Yamaha Pacifica 112J wich is nothing more than a Fender Stratocaster clone, so I ordered original Fender American Standard machine heads. Aaaaaand they don…

I have found a bass online that I am seriously considering buying but there are a few things about it that I am not so sure about and the opinions of you guys might make all the difference to my decision. It is an old Fender Jazz. A 1973!!! As you will see from the pictures, it is a thing of absolute beauty but the beauty is a fake one unfortunately. It is not an original paint job. The pickups are not original either. Neither is the scratch plate nor the ashtray covers. Everything else is original. The guy wants 17 900 South African Rands (which is about 1 200 Euro's, 870 Pounds, 1340 US Dollars). I have been emailing back and forth with him and he goes on and o…

Anyone have experience with Marshall’s MG amplifier line? The Marshall MG30CFX is currently $40 off it's normal price on Amazon until midnight today PST. I’m a beginner turned immediate player and have been looking for a new amplifier to upgrade to. I’m using some cheap, starter Ibanez amplifer at the moment. I have a pre-08 Gibson Les Paul Standard and I heard Marshalls and Gibsons were a match made in heaven so this is looking awfully tempting...
