Hey, so I just got a my first seven string guitar and I'm loving it so far. There's one thing though...I want to understand a bit more if there is any that I can do with a seven string. I know everything on a normal guitar but is there some things I can practice or techniques unique to a seven string? I'm looking into incorporating the 7 string into the songs I write now.

i'm gonna b brief on this so as to not waste all ur time am also quite new to the guitar scene so, with that in mind: i consider myslf tone deaf so i listen to songs 50x over or more, determining whether or not a part is lead, bass, rhythm, harmony, etc after listening to a particular song; that has no tabz, 50x+ and find a few notes on 1 riff laid out in a particular pattern on the guitar neck, could i match it with a scale it's on to better determine the song as a whole? (dorian, bluez, pentatonic, etc) also, if i hit a few notes correctly early in the song (like 10s in) on low A string on the 10th fret going higher, does that almost always mean it's played in a…

Wich band inspired you to play guitar or bass or other instrument? To me,mostly it was Green Day when i was about 12-13 years old.I listend Jesus of Suburbia so many times,and then i thought how awsome could be to play guitar like them, and even make a rock band but it was just a dream to me,just to learn to play the guitar and didn't even know Rocksmith.So yeah,to me Green Day inspired me also Billy Talent with their cool songs like Viking Death March,Fallen Leaves,Saint Veronika etc,but wich band or even music inspired you to play?

Randy California, guitarist in the former band Spirit did this song during a Night of the guitar show. I'm not good enough to use the nessisary tools for making it into a Rocksmith file myself. I've been playing RS for roughly 2,5 years now, and I've reached a level on guitar and bass I couldn't ever had even dreamed of before, and while I haven't been getting too much into soloing I'm doing pretty good with rhythm and bass. I still play RS pretty much on a daily basis, and while I try to push myself to play faster (as I'm a metalhead as well), I'm more into slow-er symphonic/gothic metal. Anyway to get away from the drunken rambling, I wanted to know if anyone here has "graduated" from RS to actually being in a band? It's been a while since I made my last post in CF and it had many reasons. First,I started to have doubts about creating content for the community, also had doubts that I can't make any progress about guitar playing and family issues of course.
