Say hello to our new CDLC Orphanage. From now on if we find a download link that is broken and the user hasn't been online for 90+ days. We'll update the download links and change the charter to CDLC Orphanage. In the release notes we will make a note of who the original charter is, the date of when the CDLC was put into the orphanage and the member of staff who send the CDLC into the orphanage. If the original charter returns he can get the CDLC out of the orphanage without any problems. CDLC in the orphanage are also up for adoption. It has come to staff's attention that there is some ambiguity about our position on customs of delisted oDLC being uploaded to Ignition. To clarify in no uncertain terms: they will be treated the same as past delisted content, namely the RS1 songs that were never brought forward into 2014. Covers of delisted songs and live performances of delisted songs may be allowed at staff's sole discretion and charts of covers/live performances uploaded to Ignition without staff permission may be deleted at any time without notice to the charter. We have permanently suspended Lil Ramen Noodle's account for repeatedly scamming people who commissioned charts from him. While we don't know the full extent of the problem, we know this was a frequent occurrence. We have issued temporary bans and restrictions over time, which have helped motivate some refunds and completion of work. Ultimately this policy stopped being effective, and we apologize for not suspending his account earlier. Additionally, we have permanently suspended 65 days for monetizing charts behind a "Ko-Fi". We have released Ignition 4.8: Please note we had to push this out to get some security fixes out, I was unable to finish some pages/areas that I wanted to redo. There are pages with known problems such as the user area has some pages that are too small width wise. There is a new forum spam attack happening that is using compromised accounts from previously hacked accounts on other websites. Out of precaution and to prevent old accounts from being used we've reset all passwords for accounts not logged in for over a year. We always recommend all users update their passwords (unique passwords recommended!) and use two-factor authentication for security. On behalf of the CustomsForge moderation team, I'd like to take a moment to address something that's causing us a bit of grief. Back in September of this year, Google Drive implemented a security update that has affected a wide variety of charts on Ignition. The charts affected were charts that were uploaded prior to November 2017. As part of the new update, Google Drive links now require a resource key to access, and new users will not be able to access charts with expired links. Hey all, It's been a tough week for me as I lost my mother a few days ago. Only 6 months ago I lost my father as well. I've been reflecting on my life and what to do for the future of it. We've launched the beta version of Artist Search and Artist Pages. We plan on improving this feature but this has been a highly requested feature since we moved over to I4. Record Pages (modal/full record) will show an icon next to the artist that will lead you to the artist page. The artist pages show the most popular CDLC, a list of all CDLC, and the latest releases. We plan on adding a list of albums each available artist has. Artist Search will be getting Search by the beginning of the letter in the future, additionally with more filters. We are still actively working on improving CustomsForge. I've had a crazy last month with real life issues but I am committed to helping improve CustomsForge & our Rocksmith scene altogether. Hi all, It's been a tough 24 hours for me dealing with this and it's hard to even think right now. Starting yesterday my cat Gordon started throwing up over 20 times, unable to keep food or drink inside of him or even use the bathroom. For the initial hospital cost for him to stay overnight to get hydrated, get blood work, and xrays we paid 1800 which we could already barely afford. Unfortunately the doctor contacted me saying Gordon needed emergency surgery. I now owe them $3000 of money which I don't have and was denied carecredit and scratchpay. Hey all, As you can see there are large performance issues with the website. I'm fully aware as I get messaged about it from every source possible. With a full time job and as the only sysadmin this falls under as something only I can fix at the moment. I'm having a hard time narrowing the issue down as when the time outs start, there is no backend errors or severe load issues. The other issue is when prime-time (most users on the site) happens I'm usually asleep due to that I work night shift which makes it harder for me to see the issue.
