100 times modified main topic list after made list public.

Some modifications are only 1 added/removed but most contain more than 1 modification.

After April there have been less and less issues, and thats really great thing.

Nowdays i have to play about 50 song to have issue that will be listed.

So in week time there will be only few modifications, and thats also great thing.

Its much more fun to play with less and less issues, and when rare issue apperars knowing how to fix it helps a lot.

Though save file corrupters are still missing general fix... so i advice still check in DLC folder and remove them

Started to have some weirdo crashes unlike before ... about month ago.

Song crashed after play with error report.

I suspected these crash to be "random", caused by something else than actual song, (so didn't list neithe)r report them.

First it was like 1/20 played songs that crashed in the end after played hole song, then it was 1/10 now 1/2 . 

 

Crash time was when game saved in file, so doubt was always ruined save file.

Have running this same save file almost year so its miracle it is still alive... though poorly now.

 

I knew this day would come, my save file is filled with already removed songs... mostly countless updates, and all those listed things...

 

To get in this point you must have played over 10t-20t songs... Only about 2/3 played songs still exist in dlc folder...

So 1/3 in save file is "mess" i don't need... try to clean it.

For while i'm off testing new songs...

Don't like cleaning, but when you fall thigs on floor something must be done.

Cleaning Results:

So I used  cozy1 tool... https://sites.google...1cgi/tutorial-4  Sync tool

My save was about 5500 kb now its about 4000 kb. So it cleaned off almost 30% in my case.

 

Result is that i can play now again at least 20 songs in row without "save crash".

Thats fair enough because i can't play more in one s(h)itting.

Other result is surely that game will start little bit faster than before.

 

So there just seems to somekind of limit how big or messy save file can be... possibly others will too experience save crashes after 5000 kb, will see... but anyway now there is fast way to get rid of "junk" saves, and that will help to launch game faster and helps to keep more dlc in folder  without "save crash" issues

Even though way is fast it took 2 hours, but hey you do it and that manually... :)

 

So  cozy1 tool saved my ass as it has and will later on save so many others...

Long time not seen...

Killer on loose.

Played quite many D and Dropc C songs today morning, about 20.... now was going to just jam for while but instead game offred me save corrupt message.

Have been lazy nowdays to make back ups, and i also track songs i play poorly... only thing i did correct played in only few tunes not in random... but still i should do things more correct.

Reason to be not careful is there been none save file corrupters lately on loose. Poor excuse.

 

It will take me about two week to play all those 0% songs again, maybe more, in worst case have to play all 0% D and dorp C songs.... and there are quite many. I think total count is over 200  :)

 

If i'm lucky i remember some i played and catch song soon, but most likely i don't remember just that song and I really have to play at least 100 song to get near 50% catch marginal.

If someone has any clue what song it could be pls help make quicker catch and so on save some random players bits going to hell too. It also saves some nerve of mine...

And, hell yeah, I really don't like to hunt these corrupting songs one by one, it takes something away from pleasure to play while you are in hunting mode, backing up after every song, track and remember every song you play...

But always when i encounter one that corrupts save i turn again to beast. Hope i  don't starve this time.

 

Edit:  there is nowdays fix for corrupted save, but not tool but manual to find one that corrupts save.

 

Edit: Lucky me, remembered some songs played earlier and corrupting song was in that pack,

So done now my testing, now i can say quite sure song causes corrupt in save after played, even for while...

Link is dead to song now, but some might have it in dlc folder already, be my guest  play or remove...

Though song itself is great fun ... people who have this and can do backups, or do save fixer could still confirm this finding, Now only 99% true case.

Hi folks. its lazy me again.

What do you think about gathering and reviving also dead links (links to songs that have been dead more than 1 month (charter will not respond in month)  and  lost songs (songs removed from upload list)

 

Idea is simple

First just gather some of those songs to list like any other issue.

but main idea would be revive later on those lost song if there would be clear admin instructions how, when... that should be done in these 2 separate cases. 

 

Anyways will not do any uploading before i check some/lot of policy issues, but started already collect also dead links...

Have been already collected some x marked songs (removed from topic reason god only knows)

 

So at least for now you can send me also dead linked songs (reported and waited more than (1-)1/2 month)

And

Songs that have disappeared from upload list. (hard to know when or why they have disappeared)

All 4 files  are down yes, but only 1 note in topics to charter that link is dead. Made yesterday.

 

It is same thing as in usual issue listing, its quite vain to list issues as soon as possible...

Since charters do care their products, and mostly do repair 99% of issues reported to them in 2 weeks...

Reporting is indeed caring of charters product, to keep it alive, to evolve it, or just to say hey and thx, share good feelings.

 

Anyways i report again to charter more precise that all 4 songs link are down, and after about two weeks list it if link is not repaired.

Reviving (later on) is possible only if get permission of doing so, and i actually have those listed songs (think so, as far).

 

My opinion is that offering alternative download link should be made easier, like press button, and paste new link that could be seen besides real download link offered charter (whos link is dead)

Credit for this is that song topic will stay alive, and download links are in place they should.

 

But sure, things can go messy that way, (if issues on revived link song who takes care of fixing it, if charter decides release new version old alternative version still around in links etc)

At least charter should handle delete links button, if he comes back to take care of his work.

So its just one way to do it, but way will cause some new issues and some re thinking and reprogramming.

 

BUT easiest way i think is just to first collect these dead links and later on ask permission to download those all to some kind of archive. And if charters are not around, nobody but you takes care of them (fix by yourself if needed)

So, I revived first songs (4), great X-japan Songs from Anchang-Style. Enjoy.

This was first reported (here) save corrupt that i can actually confirm.

Also it was founded quite early, and i think.... this finding of yours saves some topic followers bits going to hell...

For me mechanism song to corrupt save is still quite unknown.

BUT  one corrupting song that i know is actually fixed by charter (after 16 trial) .... he guessed imported sections to be reason...make your own!!! he added.

Anyways these songs are not really big deal, only 10/10000 song have done it to me.

And they stop doing it after removal from dlc folder (avoiding accidental play) fixing seems to be hard?

If someone wants to try fix em i can upload them all... see if there is general rule that cause issue.

I know issue. Have already listed all zuca230 songs to be deadtone songs. Nowdays if i see charter whos all songs are dead toned i prefer add only charters name and list of songs under that name.

Sorry that list is little bit messy now, but i think this is better way to handle list. I should done that kind of ordering earlier, deadtone list would be much shorter. Minimizing main list is always good thing. It just make some messy things.

There are many songs that fade before end little akward, but as you said this is unic.

 

There are other minor issues listed

Reason i have kept those other minors "like % not seen on big screen" in list is that i hoped someone could invent  general fix for them that could help charters with same issue, to make more prefect customs.

 

This one differs, no general fix possible, fix is most likely to just implant new mp3.

 

Anyway issues like this and presented are not really big problem, song works reasonable well and they are still fun to play. No need to remove them from dlc folder, or i think so...

 

So do i have to make more crazy rules. :D

 

Any ideas where i should draw the line?

1. Want to see all not perfectly done songs in list

2. Only major issues that ruin play/gaming pleasure some major way, and some minor , often occurring, issues that are waiting for general  fix.

 

I have chosen 2 option, hided that rule inside my crazy head, but this mad man's dictature can be discussed, just to make some pointless discussion, not really to change anything. Sorry was in night job :blink:

 

So really, what do you  want, from list? Ideas to make it more useful or/and reasonable.

 

For me... i keep all songs inside dlc folder that are not listed, and some minor issues listed.

So to me its something like non approved list/ need to be fixed list

But approving songs is fully personal...

 

For this one i would say approved, no listing, but if the case is that you (most of you) want in general see more minor issues in list can do it, but i have already passed those (different minors) quite many so its up to you report them. Will test and list those too, if that's what you (most of you) want. So just vote 1 or 2 or something else.

Even if they are most done pefectly I have removed them because they can't offer me much for help play better. And thats my Aim, not just having fun, but cry lot of tiers of poorness. I have a song I made that in eof and listening to the mp3 everything is fine but in game the last 3 seconds is cut off and it goes to the score screen it sounds similar to what the unique error you guys are talking about.  I actually deleted the whole thing and made it from scratch and the exact same thing happened again.  Its only happened on that one song I did.  Did you guys ever figure what causes that?  I made a help topic about it before but nobody ever figured it out.

Do you mean in EOF add 3 seconds of silence or do you mean with a audio program like audacity?  I only know how to add 3 seconds to the start in eof.

@@Xstatic, try to set higher seek table values(or lovver, I'm lost here), and I mean add silence to guitar ogg using audacity, vve don't need that functionality in EOF usually

okay ill try adding that silence to the end I havent tried that yet. I have seek values set the same as all my other customs I checked that when I redid it to make sure I didnt mess up anything there.  Its too late to try that now though I will try tomorrow or another day.

You should try horny Alex360 advice, i have presented all fixes i know. Most of fixes are surely invented by others, but i think its great to have them all, at least most, in one place with example songs...place where all issues could be discussed. Collecting issues without fixes makes people just horny to fix those issues.

 

If that fix will work i will copy paste that to  fixes. So if you manage to fix issue pls report what's cure for that kind of issue. Also if you know any other general fixes pls report.

 

Anyway thx for songs. Have loved em through years, even before new version of game. Merciful fate: Is That You Melissa? and Andy James: What Lies Beneath will cum first in mind, but it would take week to label every great song you have made (and i have played).

Haven't have any issues with songs, and played over 100 in row now (not same day).. What the Fuck, come on charters you make me out of hobby jobby. So days like these... listed oldies are uncolored/removed only once per month, since that way it looks like i still do something.
