Currently the mod only drops tuning from E or makes the cents adjustments for alt A421 to A460 reference tunings. The auto tune assumes offsets from last known tuning of E or Drop D and then adjusts from there. This is a good feature request and I will give it a shot.

I noticed it in your screenshots this week and was starting to think about that as a feature - thanks for bringing it up.

Got the fretted 4-string back from with a real nice setup. No more excuses for all my mistakes...

@drand you asked for it, so here it is -

RL-Mods V1.4 Release Candidate.

The big change is physical guitar tuning awareness. You can now press F10 and tell RL-Mods what tuning each guitar is actually in, instead of assuming E Standard.

That lets Auto tuning work both down and up. So if your guitar lives in Eb or D Standard, RL-Mods can shift up to E Standard songs instead of making you retune the whole guitar first.

A few examples:

• Eb guitar → E Standard song = +1

• D guitar → E Standard song = +2

• Eb guitar → D Standard song = -1

• Eb guitar → Drop D = +1, then only retune the low string

RL-Mods now tries to choose the shift that causes the least physical retuning, rather than always treating E Standard as the starting point.

The physical tuning you set is also saved in RLMods.ini, so if you normally leave a guitar in Eb, RL-Mods will remember that next time you launch.


You gotta at least give it a try. It is simple as renaming your existing xinput1_3.dll, replace with RL-Mods version and give it a try. Don't like it, delete RL-Mods file and rename the file back and you are back on RSMods / RSModsPlus.

@Rodman you mentioned the old CDLC version of this. I remember it well! It was one of the CDLCs I played a lot back in the early days of RS. I recall the chart being built mainly around those palm mutes.

Good songs, not too difficult.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the chart at all, I know I played it for testing purposes and rated it a 6, so I guess it wasn't very difficult.

It shouldn't be lower than Lead, rather the same rating both paths.

Unfortunately, in chord charts like this I always get some random misses...

I find this interesting and have a question for you all: do you have any trouble with the kind of finger stretching required for this chart? 🤔 For me, a 5-fret span is max I can manage reasonably comfortably; a 6-fret span like the one here (changing from 3–7 to 3–8) is too much for me, and I’d certainly rate that higher than 4.

Similar to Lead, an old test attempt.

The vast majority of the chart is at a beginner level, but some sections are truly a masterclass.

Guitar scores. I seem to do better on Green Day... 🤷

I can't do it, specially on lower frets 🫠

The Drand Edition has been updated

It was the ASIO sample format in Voicemeeter. RL-Mods now supports both Int32LSB and Float32LSB and the error codes have been updated for future users.

even though the end game score says 97 I'll stick with it being the 98

the hammerons and pull offs detection seems very hit or miss for me in rocksmith (and i think theres a long pitch chord slide that also is hit or miss for me)

Had a problem earlier this week where I had a hard time hearing earlier on my right ear (it was basically as though I was almost deaf on that ear) due to too much earwax buildup but it’s better now even if it isn’t perfect yet.

Quick little improvement, gotta work on that section jumping between the G and E strings at the end to really improve this score:

Also did a run through of Skyless on 5 string. Although not an improvement, the two harder sections at the beginning seem much easier on this arrangement. Highly recommend anyone with a 5 string to give this a try on Bonus Rhythm:

I think I had played the last two only on emulated bass previously. Regular bass is a bit more of a workout.

Next timeI'll try the suggestion of @Nomgoose about the 5-string arrangement. That one section is killing me on the 4-string. On the other hand, my 5-string has a pretty lousy setup which is why I haven't been taking it out of the case much.

Anyone out there have a fretless bass? I really enjoyed playing some of the easier songs on fretless. I think it could be fun to start a side contest playing the week's intermediate bass song on fretless. Something about a contest that makes me put in a lot better effort, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one here....

Neighbor Neighbor, Seemed to have some hit detection issues in the first hammer on and pull-off section.


Great song, never really listened to too much green day, so its nice to hear some more from them.

An awkward fingering chart; it could be made easier by moving some notes to a different string and fret. 5/5.5 here.

I got a little lost in these slide sections. 6.5.

It's a good thing this is a bonus, because most of the chart is just streaks of the same notes, but those transition sections are tricky. 8.

Really difficult, but a cool chart. 8.5.
