I had a wonderful time in Tanzania. I managed to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and, for dessert, see some wild animals on safari. But now I'm back to competing!

Wow, what a week of songs!

Great to see @Emmy-Dell taking the mantle, feels like we're being graced by CustomsForge royalty right now!

Cool song but only gave it the one playthrough, had bigger fish to fry this week!

Funny thing is that I was actually expecting some sort of cover of Lou Bega's classic Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit Of...) with some mental Japanese-style chords and voicings thrown in but this song was a pleasant surprise (still had some crazy chords mind). Might sit down with it properly in the future, this was just a sight read attempt.

After playing this once I knew that it was going to be my focus this week, what a great cover. Tricky enough to make you sit down with it but not too hard to make you want to give up. Except for the solo of course, that last run ruined a few good attempts for me!

Trust me, I have no idea how it happened either, maybe all those years listening and playing along to Tool and Karnivool have trained me up a little bit in the ways of prog...

Bass

The difficulty ratings for the bass paths are quite inconsistent in my opinion. The intermediate charts in particular seemed difficult to me after the first play.

This song is generally easy, but has a short harder section in all paths, so it's more of 3/3.5 than 2/2.5.

Hard intermediate - 6/6.5

This is even a bit of a crazy chart , a few quick jumps on the runway, definitely 6/6.5. Especially since the Rhytm path has a 7 here, and it's on a similar level to the Bass path.

Easiest song to achieve a high score on and it has 7 lol 😉

A few difficult quick licks but overall not very hard - 7.5/8.

I haven't read the whole topic but I guess I'm the first person who pays attention to the ratings - as usual 😆

That solo on lead caught me by surprise 😵 Blessed split on the RR sections for practice 🙏

I definitely think, as others have already stated, that this song should have a higher difficulty rating, especially the lead version. I kinda just played something on that guitar solo and hope that I would get at least one note right.

Guitar this week seems extremely difficult Like everything has gone up a level I would add between 1-2 rating to them all

nooo xD not really. the beginner one was just too low of a tuning for my bass. i'll always try all the difficulties but i'll only post if i get them, at least, over 85% and sound decent enough. you know i'm a noob 😅
