my fxxin high e string broke 2/3 through the song.... didn´t break a string in 5 years, was about time.

new version does seem harder dont think ill get to 80 next week lol. Much respect to you @Satinuke for not only playing this but i assume you will have memorise it aswell which is a whole nother level of pro.
And thanks @veggs95 for the update :) did enjoy this version more! If you ever upload it to cf just make sure to follow the 2025 standards. only thing i noticed were sustains could have a gap for better readibilty and there was some awkward phrases/sections like the 5th one. But still extremely greatfull for you taking the time to do it as its a very technical song.

Before i consider posting it to cf, i want to fix fret hand positions and maybe change the tones as well.

I didn't change anything in the sections from the old version i started with, but i guess it may have changed when i moved all the notes half a beat to have the beat markers actually line up correctly. I also don't know if I can get all the section good, as some of the sections should start outside of the beats, or not include the "first" note.

And the sustains you mention. Is it only important if its the same note being played a second time or generally all notes where the sustain reaches the next note?

As i said, maybe my teacher sees something that i can't lmao, but considering all the things i think i'm doing kinda well in this song, last year i could not even dream about playing those phrases that i'm doing rn

If you have discord and are in the customsforge channel you can also leave the cdlc in the chart feed back section. Sometimes there will be creators there that can help you out in anything technical.

as for phrases and sections starting in weird notes: thats when use moveR phrases. Basically you make the section without a phrase first, ctrl shift s and untick create phrase so it only creates the section (the top white name: verse1)


then ctrl shift p to create a phrase, and type moveR(and the number of notes where you want it to start).

If you have the latest version of eof with the latest hotfix (which i do recommend you to install) you can use the shortcut for moveR which is ctrl shift R (that way you arent typing moveR every time, you are just typin a number)

so for this example i did moveR2 because i just wanted to demonstrate how to start on an odd note:



and thats that.

as for sustains, all sustains must have a gap of 1/32 or 1/16 (depends on tempo and what looks best) that includes bends as well.

it kinda looks like it always makes some kinda gap in the new hot fix? but ill still teach you to make it go to the yellow line since yours do still overlap/ i guess you are in an older version.

for an easy way to do it you can select all notes in the path using ctrl A, and then with the mouse wheel just go back 1 to one yellow line. And thats it.

(which now looking at your pic seems like you did it without grid lines which is kinda crazy xD) you turn grid lines (yellow lines) on by pressing shift g


if you ever go too far with the scroll just ctrl z because if you go up with the mouse wheel it will add a small sustain to all your notes in the project and you dont want that lol.

Tricky mix of songs this week, each one had a little something different going on!

Absolute classic this one is, I was wondering why it was rated higher than 1 for the first part and then the little arpeggios hit...

I'd never heard of these guys before but really enjoyed this one, the riffs actually reminded me a bit of The Warning which isn't a bad thing at all.

Trickier than I was expecting but I had bigger fish to fry this week rather than trying it again...

Best I could get on this one, I had the riff nailed in the intro but as soon as the vocals started I lost all concept of time and space, the timing of everything really messed with me. Even tried turning off the music entirely to see if that helped but no luck there, it only resulted in making Tom Morello's nonsense sound worse (in my honest opinion, not his biggest fan!).

84.9% was a total fluke, not even going to pretend I played this halfway decent!

Sight reading multi-strip tapping just isn't my wheelhouse. I had planned on sitting down with this one as I think with some practice I could have gotten a much better score but unfortunately life got in the way.

Enough of my ramblings, all the best with your scores everyone!

I do use gridlines, i just toggle it on and off.

Almost forgetting to play masterclass this week, but this was not my style or genre anyway.

And back to Intervals😅

I didn’t think I would get a score close to 90% on a song that’s technically in a higher difficulty rating than what I am playing in.
