This week I chose songs in drop Eb ( eb standard with the e string down tuned 2 more) If beginners cant downtune that low let me know so we can switch a song (although i think eb is doable?). I also suggest if theres 2 songs in your class to probably just focus on the one you enjoy the most. Bass does have some other tunnings unfortunatley but hopefully its ok

Sessions @ AOL: The song was featured as part of the "Sessions @ AOL 2005" series, which was a major online music platform at the time. I believe it was also a song on yahoo radio music which is how i remember finding it as a teen but my memory might be faulty.


Stained Linkin park

It would be a sin to not add a linkin park song when doing a drop eb week. This song is with their current lead singer Emily (ex lead singer of dead sara), It was the easiest / well made linkin park song i found. Others seemed like could be int or could benefit from an update.

lead guitar reminds me of where is your mind by the pixies. I thought this song was more recent but apparently its 2012 time flies.

It was the first time listening to them for me, I thought the singer was a guy but apparently they have a female singer. The riffs seemed really nasty so I also wanted to include them for this week :)

I found some cool bass songs in drob eb but again felt like they could use updates so i went with this one that seemed ok (e standard tho). Not too hard but i think itll be challenging enough.

Thanks for the week @cacahuate51 Eb drop Db is such a fun tuning, my DGT sounds fierce in this tuning. There are a ton of great songs from Alice In Chains, Paramore, etc, etc in this tuning. Good choices, ratings seem spot on to me. Posting scores later, don't want to invoke the others to early in the week.

Yeah I did notice that there were some great bands in this tunning and we haven't played Paramore here in ages, maybe someday :P I personally avoided this tunning for the longest time just cause I thought it was lower than drop c ( that's where I have a large amount of cdlc) regardless I had fun visiting this tunning (I believe Mikson also did a week in this tunning kinda recently) .

In fact, Eb Standard is just a half-step lower than E Standard (similarly, Eb drop Db is the same for Drop D), so all the notes move down one fret. So it sometimes surprises me why some participants don't play songs in this tuning. I think @johnal only plays E Standard songs, while Eb Standard can be played without any problems on standard strings. Unless it's something to do with the guitar itself and bridge.

yeah.... as ACDC fanboy... basically Eb was my standard tuning for the first years :)
