My little New Year's Eve speech😂:
After a while, it is with great pleasure that I am hosting this week.
This year was very special for me since I finished a big personal project.
At the same time, I want to thank @Rodman , as well as @Mikson and my fellow Mexican compadre @cacahuate51 who were running the Championship with a heavy rotation. And I am really excited that so many organizers have joined lately this year!!! BIG WELCOME to everyone!!!
So this is my little 2025 selection to celebrate New years eve with you.
In this era where AI music is everywhere, let's celebrate that actual human beings made of flesh keep creating great music, and there are people daring to learn to play them with their hands with dexterity. I have said that before and believe strongly that you don't truly understand and enjoy music if you don't play it! Cheers to playing music!!! 🥂🤩🥂🤩🥂🤩

I haven't hosted a Championship in a while, so I hope I got the difficulty ratings OK... Let me know what you think about the ratings, and about the songs in general. I hope you enjoy the selection!!!

> Evanescence - Fight Like A Girl

Apparently, this is a soundtrack for the movie "From The World of John Wick: Ballerina" (I haven't watch it yet). It's a cool song... but in very strict terms may not qualify as a beginner song! It is mostly very easy and basic but it has some tricky parts. I beg for your understanding since it is hard to find a beginner song and more so if the choices are limited to this year...

This is the song maybe I liked the most from this selection!!! I hardly knew Chevelle. I don't know much bands and music specaily from the decade of 2010 because I was busy with work and kids, and It's a great pleasure to rediscover bands here. I am providing a Drop-D version.

> Psychedelic Porn Crumpets - When in Rome

I also discovered Psychedelic Porn Crumpets here in CustomForge and I have become a big fan!!! Apparently they have a big psychedelic rock scene in Australia, so I hope I can go there someday!!!

Besides that, there is an interesting contrast with Chevelle above. Chevelle complains they didn't make a penny after selling 2 million CDs with Epic records. On the contrary, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets created their own record label.

In case you don't know, Steven Wilson is the mastermind behind English band Porcupine Tree. The bassline is freaking cool!!! I think this may be a bit difficult challenge for advance bass, but I thought it didn't belong to masterclass...

> Dream Theater - Midnight Messiah

Really cool song. I am providing a E-Standard version.

I didn't even bother to try the bass, since you need a 6 string bass.

> Flea - A Plea

Great song reaching the realm of jazz, with a sincere heartfelt message. The bass was rated way lower, but I think for the sake of this Championship, this would be rated 9...
