surprisingly quite challenging for a greenday song. tbh i think this could be intermediate since its pretty fast usses multiple strings and has some goin up to 14 fret and slides..

Nice song. Even though i 100% didnt really felt like i played the song? seemed like it was missing somenotes or something idk it was odd. To me it seemed a bit too easy for advanced because its at a slower tempo but its fine.

bass path is Drop D

there is error in Ignition4  entry

Thanks. I totally missed that all these years, selecting that dropdown on Ignition.

Just a small improvement on the streak, stuck at this accuracy

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

At least here I know what my problem is (hint: it's the octave slides)

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Time to start!

Nice song for beginners, but I feel that the final parts are out of sync unfortunately.

Hard intermediate, a lot of uncomfortable chords.

I didn't know much about this Metallica song, but it's quite good, the solo is a challenge.

Nice chart, I like these melodic licks. I thought I played better than my accuracy showed, but I had to lose on a solo.

First time I played was with score attack and failed out...need to work on this

@ RaZrShReD  - my granddaughter will be staying for a week and wants to play her Squire mini strat. We've done the arcade shooter game before. She  wants to play some songs during her visit. Since she is a T Swift fan, I thought we'd try multi-player on Taylor Swift songs. I have two Rocksmith cables. Will I need to set up a Steam ID for her? Or just an ID in the game?

We've got colored strings on the mini strat. Numbers along the fretboard from the OG Rocksmith game, some really colorful numbers on the fretboard and a unicorn strap. I think we're ready for multi-player Taylor Swift, Abba and Cyndy Lauper.

Anyone have other recommendations for an enthusiastic 7 year old girl?

thats such a cool activity to do with a young one... love the colored strings and numbers on the fretboard idea. no need to setup steam ID just a add a new profile to rocksmith. and  yeah 2 rocksmith cables should do the trick.... try different modes like coop score attack and session mode to keep it fun!

@ someotherbruce  hey good to see you back again!

Maybe you could experiment with score attack and put it on lower difficulties/ easy mode to make her get used to the guitar ( this is assuming she doesnt have much experience with the guitar and hoping that the cdlc has dynaimic dificulty)... but since its done automatically by the computer sometimes it doesnt scale nicely and can be more difficult than learning the song.

So, honestly i think maybe playing the bass path emulated on a guitar would be the best option to introduce her the game/a guitar.
Bass paths are usually easier since they dont require chords (for most of them) and are pretty repetetive which will help with her coordination also there tends to be lots of straight notes / less strings also helps...so its just easier to grasp in general and you are technicly playing the song.

Since its simplified guitar i probably wouldnt change the dd, id leave it at max... although abba might be a bit tricky with octaves since its got disco inspiration sometimes.

hope you have fun!

really struggling with note recognition on this part (even at very slow speeds).  I am just picking the first note each string and using hammer ons and pull offs.  Am I reading the notation wrong?  Anyone else having this issue?

Sounds a lot link Pink's "So What." But it was fun to play. I played pretty sloppy, but made some noise and had some fun.

Haha thought the same, however, could not think of the name of the pink song.  Thanks!

Yep. I think this would work out great. Last visit, my oldest son talked her through "Smoke on the Water" by saying Red 5, Red 8, Red 10, Red 5, Red 8, Red 11/10, Red 5, Red 8, Red 10, Red 8, Red 5. She did fine. We could probably get tricky and go Red AND Yellow 5, ...  She enjoyed playing it, liked turning the amp up a little bit and hitting the tube screamer for a little crunch. I think she would do just fine in bass emulation mode.

That is great. My son is now 4 year old. Then he see me playing Rocksmith and he likes the game. So I got a mini guitar that I ask a luthier neighbor of mine to make to me. It is 6 string guitar "A" tuned; its shape is like a cavaquinho or ukulele, but it is electric like a guitar, with a humbucker from my Ibanez. There is no volume or tone control. I ask him to make this instrument 4 years before my son born. Now, as he is interested in Rocksmith by seing me playing, I give him this miniguitar, without plug on laptop, put the song on riff repeater and you have to see how happy he is when he strums mini guitar with a pick while see the notes passing on Rocksmith. I think that, in 2 or 3 years, in Jesus name, he will be a Rocksmith Championship participant.
