Let us know your opinions on the accuracy of the difficulty scores (1-10) for this weeks songs.

 

I couldn't test the bass part for the Trivium song, my bass doesn't go that low, so I left the original rating and it's a bonus.

Also, the usual thing about the ratings.

Well yeah... Usually players level up from Beg to Int quite soon after a few weeks. Also for the majority INT is not a place to stay. ADV and MC are. That facts plus also very advanced players joining are the base of that special distribution. Good thing is new players are always joining - if you just keep playing you get opponents, a lot. What i really recommend - if there is not enough competition in your very class - go ahead and fight hard on the next higher one!
What can we do to get players back that left? Well... for a few years i used the mention @ trick... when a player was falling off the boards i made a post mentioning him and telling him to come back and fight! Being mentioned leads to a message when you enter cf.com - there was some success with that on the short term. That could done again, also automated a bit....
I stopped doing that cause i prefer the players that don´t have to be motivated.
We never did any advertising outside of CF - everybody is invited to encourage players they meet in their RL (best), guitar and music forums like in UG and facebook, i think there is nothing against that in the rule... Posting about CUSTOMS and CF in UBI and UBI ROCKSMITH forums is strictly forbidden!

Another important thing for me is that under the score everyone is playing for oneselves to have fun with the music and improve - if you make the way the target also the pieces without real opponents are ok.

Any ideas always welcome!

Spiral Mountain. 1st play through. 87.4% LMAO!

Beginner and both Int Bass.  Tunings for all 3 are different. Digitech Drop confirmed for Christmas.

Judging by my past highscore here I didn't do to well this time.

Never really listened to much trivium before, this is pretty good.

Ehh, this is hard for me. The power chords change too fast for my sight + hand to keep up. I always have a problem with this type of chart.

the fills towards the end were cool 
no trivium because bass also doesnt reach that low

yeaaa the difficulty gap from the advanced song to this is pretty big hahah. I'll give it some more tries today its nice to have a challenge... hopefully ill get a bit better.

If you mean the verse riff, then I'd wager it's the rhythm and not the speed. The hand movements aren't really faster than what a pop punk band would do, it's the weird timing, and the drumming doesn't help. Try listening to it and counting out loud, you'll see what I mean.

Rhythm

As I mentioned before, the Trivium song without the solo is easier for me than Mastodon.

I tried in E-Std. A little better but still not feeling it... For me +1 to the difficulty rating in both paths, but that may be my weakness and it's easier for others.

Bass

The game design for B-K is nice but I've always hated the music and sound design and this was like torture to play (also the tone is maybe the worst I've ever heard):

This is...not a 5 difficulty. I have a 5 string so no issues tuning down. It's a challenging chart, at least a 7 IMO and probably more like a 7.5:

Love me some Mastodon, and the outro to this one is fantastic:

Wish I had more time to improve my Seabeast score and maybe get plays of the MC song and the Death album in...but I'm doing a lot more World Cup watching than practicing these days.

Ideally would've liked to have had more time this week to practice some Mastodon - but I'm not complaining when I got to see Gojira headline with Lacuna Coil on Thursday, and a big music festival yesterday!

Work + family sick for me this week so I didn't have any real time to play. It's a shame because I love Trivium

I agree, at first it seems hard to follow but is the weird timing / rhythm, if you RR you get the pattern. My first run was 71%! Then with RR I got the feeling with the various sections
