Yay, hat trick!

Sadly, the gog arrangement is above my level.

But since rocksmith tells me my score 'could be better', I'm gonna keep practicing this even after the week is over. I've been looking for a long-term-challange song in E standard that I won't get bored with too fast, and this seems like it.

While I'm aware that probably nobody cares, I'm gonna post a score for this every now and then with my progress.

Alcohol fueled sight reads:

Pinky chords. (5)

I pushed the enter key accidentally before making the screenshot and had to redo. The first score was 85. The second listen didn't make me like the song more. I guess it'll get a lot more chances to grow on me until next week. (8.5)

Also, don't get misled by my low scores, I've been celebrating a bit too hard. I'll redo most of these.

yea the really fast sweeping section after the tapping is super hard but not impossible good luck this song will help improve sweep picking a lot

 

pretty fun song

catchy song, simple but perfect for building stamina for beginners so for the stamina I give 3 (I was tired at the end too 😂)

yeah pinky song, the score hightlights my problem reading uncommon chords on rocksmith

adv lead, ok, strange song, seems rappy sometimes

very well know song for me (I played lead like 23 times) but I've not played it in years (I was playing it in 2014 when RS 2014 came out). I will catch up very quickly.

ouch, that is the state of my sightreading on Rocksmith (very bad). I will use this to practice arpeggios and strange positions, and also light sweeps

Starting at 80% speed

Apart from Dayglow, these are quite old screenshots from the CDLC tests a few months ago.

This would be a beginner if it weren't for those stretched chords.

An interesting band with demanding arrangements, both guitar (this is the only CDLC with guitar) and bass.

lyrics are a bit meh, bass isn't too bad tho.

I need to stop just strumming the chords and try to play it properly. Stuff like this is a pain in rs lol.

this song is not too difficult, except for the two pentatonic speedy solos (solos are 7, 7.5, but the rest is like 5?). So 6 is fine. It's easy to get high % (and we love those!)

There are too few members left doing selections for the coming weeks!
That leads to emergency actions either having to do quick selections on very very short notice (like @ Mikson did here - THX M8!!!!!), to a lot of da capo weeks or even bad selections. We do not want that.

So - everyone who can commit ~3-4 hours of your time every 4-6 weeks to put together a selection and start the week please pm me or reply here!!!!
Fear not, we are here to help you, things are set up very well - so it´s quite a simple process, it only takes a bit of time to test the songs mainly for difficulty to bring in the right order.

Let´s keep the CS running on that awesome level - cause the CS is good for us!

Overall a pretty easy song, however, to play it accurate to the tab is well beyond my pay grade.

I've been looking how to do it in the recent weeks. So I have two main questions:

• Do we need to insert data only on the first sheet, Song Selection list? Or do we need to use "Tested Songs" too?
• I don't have a bass, almost never played it really, so I can't properly check the tone and give the rating. I played in a band so I'm familiar with it. Can I skip the ratings for bass?

Be prepared, I will push a lot of power/epic metal 😛 but not only

I'm not sure you understood @ Rodman request right. EVERYONE can add suggestions for songs to be played in the championship (Song Selection sheet is open for everyone). So any suggestions are welcome. You don't need to submit ratings for Bass if you can't test this path for CDLC.

And Rodman's request was to find people who could create a new championship week (what I did this week).

Ok yes I misunderstood! 

Then, I'm available to do the selection and create new weeks. I need to understand better the generation of winners/scores of the previous week. Do you have a script for that? I've seen the sheet with the scores, that is clear for me, but I don't know if there is something more.
