What the title says. Has anyone successfully done anything like this? I'm thinking it's possible but I'm not sure how. It would make working in Music Creator 6 so much nicer.

I want something pretty easy to use with (what I assume is) standard stuff, distortion, chorus, etc.... What would you recommend for a true beginner who is just learning different riffs and chords, but realizes they don't sound like the songs because of the limitations of my meager equipment? Thank you.

Right now I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard but I kind of have an itch to get a Stratocaster as well. I'm not keen to pay a lot at the moment though so I was looking at the Squier deluxe model (specifically this one.) Is this a decent guitar compared to the epiphone or will it feel worse?

As I said I need a new guitar because this one sound like shit, but I'm not surprised.. Bought a beginners kit back in 2010. So I'm looking for a Strat, my budget is around 630$. Can you recommend me a Strat around that price or should I save my money for a guitar around 1.3k $ ?

Anyone had a chance to play or own one of this 90s korean made guitars? I always wanted a maple fingerboard guitar and there's a nice Telecaster sell on the local auction pages, hes asking 320 dollars for her, I know it might seem really expensive for you guys but where I live everything is more expensive. I know its not a heavy metal kind of guitar but I wanted something with a different flavor and it also has a Seymour Duncan Hot rails on the bridge so it might get heavy with that pick up.

Anybody have any experience with this guitar? I was thinking of maybe getting it - there is a good offer on one, costs about the same as a Mexican Strat. But I have no experience with short scale guitars. Normally I prefer classic guitars (I want to get a Baja Telecaster), but this one is just so much cheaper than its normal price, especially considering it's made in Japan. Any thoughts? And yes, I realize i misspelled his name, its Kurt not Curt. I suck with names ^_^ http://www.fender.com/series/artist/kurt-cobain-mustang-rosewood-fingerboard-dark-lake-placid-blue-with-stripe/

I was thinking of getting a Floyd Rose guitar for some of the songs I like to play that use dive bombs in the solos and such (Avenged Sevenfold being a prime example), but I want to be able to tune to Drop D without using a Tremol-No or a D-Tuna (as I want to be able to still use the tremolo both ways). I've been researching it a bit, but I can't find a straight answer on how to do it - Some people say that I can do it with the fine tuners alone, while others say I can just undo the locking nut, tune down, screw the locking nut, and fine tune, while OTHERS say that I'll have to change the spring tension once it's tuned. So basically, I just want a straight answer on k…

I was in the train station in Poitiers (France) today and what did I see? A guitar string vending machine! I couldn't believe it! They had a few different sets of Ernie Balls, Martins, Elixirs, a few other brands. Also had a few different types of (Dunlop) picks, a Korg tuner, a Planet Waves cable, a string winder.... Prices were pretty reasonable too. Maybe I don't get out all that much... but I've never seen this before. Next step will be sell guitars from the machine too...

Hi all, I'm relatively new to playing bass and I don't know that much about guitar repair. I just bought a brand new Ibanez SR300 bass guitar that has a bolt-on neck. The low e string has an awful buzz. So much so that its more buzz than note. It's horrible on the first and second fret and then buzzes a bit less on the 3rd,4th and 5th before it pretty much stops. The other strings are fine I think, its just the low e string that seems to be the problem. Is it poor quality strings? I was told they were shipped with D'addario strings but I don't know if that's true. Or is it a truss rod adjustment issue? And if so, is it better to take it to a luthier rather than tackle i…

I am getting a new guitar and was wondering if there was a magic gauge that could go from E standard to say down to C standard(maybe lower on some songs). As you know on Rocksmith we are changing tunings often enough if we are cycling through songs. I am wondering if 12's will be tight enough on the lower settings but loose enough on standard E to get a little bend action still? Anyone, any thoughts on the matter? Having multiple guitars around(or rather buying multiple guitars atm) just isn't an option though I could keep my Fender around for E standard with its 9 gauge but I prefer an all in one solution if possible. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Hi! I was searching through the web - but couldn't find anything, that'd help me. I'm currently working on cover of Avantasia's "Carry me over". And here's the problem: I'm looking for good presets for my KORG AX5G to this song. I've created nice distortion set-up on my own, but can't find/create set-up for verse (that "Ice"-like clean tone)... I know guitarpatches, but this site is almost dead... So I think, that maybe somebody here uses similiar multieffect, or has got any ideas how to get that tone.

Since the speakers on my laptop are so terrible, I've been mostly playing rocksmith through my xbox/TV and I haven't really used my cdlc as much as I'd like. Unfortunately it looks like the speakers on my old tube TV are about to bite the dust so I wanted to ask you guys what your recommendations for speakers/amps are. I don't even own an amp yet, but when the price is right I plan on getting a fender 25r amp for my fender strat. As far as speakers, I have absolutely no idea what I'm looking for. I just want something that is slightly but noticeably louder than my TV speakers, I don't plan on performing outside for an audience within the next decade, but it would be nice…

Hi guys! So i'm looking to get a wireless guitar system. I have seen that there is a lot of different systems out there, but what should i choose. What can you recommend? I don't need that many channels, most of the time it's probably just one guitar that gonna be plugged in. I don't need that much range about 30 meters (100 feet) would be fine. Any suggestions? In advance thanks guys! (And girls, if any )

Ok, officially it was a few days ago... I build guitar parts for a living. About ten years ago, one of my OEM buyers and I agreed to a trade. A bunch of my parts for one of his guitars. This was a "Free Time" deal... as we had free time away from other orders, we'd do a bit of work one each others' stuff. We knew it would take a while. It's a good thing I'm patient! The guitar was finished almost exactly a year ago, but I found myself very busy and short on time to go get it from it's place in Victoria, BC, Canada. It was built by Heatley Guitars. This weekend, a very short window of opportunity arose, and we took it. Now, some here may know about …

Just got my mitts on a used (but in extremely good shape) RP1000 for 2 hundred dollars! Now... What do all these buttons do? If anyone has one, i do have a quick question: When using more than 1 tone for a song, is it simply a matter of assigning them in adjacent slots, say 55-56 so when you're using the footswitch they happen to be next to each other? Did that even make sense? Oh, and if anyone can advise the wah-wah settings for Computer Blue it would be much appreciated!

Ok, has anyone else played OR own one of these? I know they are really new. I honestly had not considered Schecter and I really don't know why, but anyway. I was at the local music shop and a Hellraiser Hybrid caught my eye. Not flashy but a nice looking guitar with the right touches as far as looks go. ( just my opinion ) I grabbed it and started playing,, I think I have found my next guitar. It felt REALLY good. I'm going back down to the store tomorrow and well, my wife might be super pissed at me. Thoughts on Schecter , advice, anything. From what I have found about them I think maybe I should have looked sooner.

Hey all I am currently modifying my old Epiphone SG G310. I have brought new pickups, switch, pots etc and now want to change the control knobs for some chrome speed ones. At the moment all I can find are ones for fender or ibanez. As I have never owned either of these makes, can anyone tell me if the knobs fit a split shaft or they just the single shaft config? (have already ordered the pots so will have to be split shift)

So I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with aforementioned pickup set? I'm thinking of upgrading my Les Paul with new pickups and this set seemed like really versatile for many styles. If not this set, what would you guys reccommend? Here's a link to SD's page: http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/sets/hot_rodded_humb/

I don't know if this is the right place for my topic, if it isn't mods please move it. Since most of the CDLC songs have no DD and start at maximum difficulty its interesting to compare performance when you play both guitar and bass. I have been playing for 3 years and although I consider myself in a place between newbie and intermediate most people (including a couple of incredibly good guitar players) say that my achievements are awesome for someone that pick up the guitar really late since I'm 32 yo. I'm a perfectionist and I always think that I can do better or I'm not good enough yet, I know that its not the best mindset and its wrong but its just how I am. …
