Anyone been listening to hardcore music lately? Cause in the early mid 2010's it started to get good again with bands like Hank Wood & the Hammerheads with their punk country street music insanity, and other NYC bands like Murderer, Crazy Spirit, Dawn of Humans, and bands from random parts of the country like Bad Noids from Ohio and Lumpy and the dumpers from somewhere I forget. Toxic State/Katorga works have been putting a lot of this stuff out. I've learned a few of the songs by these bands and put them on UG but I don't think It'd be worth it to CDLC em when a lot of them are just chords. Here are some tunes Hank Wood - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtFTLo…

I'm hoping someone has a suggestion on how to get decent audio quality for YouTube videos. Currently I'm running RS 2014 both PC and PS versions through a 200 Watt Kenwood stereo amp into 30+ year old speakers. The PC version is output through a generic onboard motherboard soundcard. The output from the PC sounds weak and tinny no matter how I adjust the bass or treble on the amp. If I dial the bass way up and the treble way down is just sounds muddy. My guess is a new sound card might help so I'm asking for recommendations if anyone else has dealt with this. The PS version definitely sounds better than the PC version but still not real good. The main issue here is …

I don't know if some of you are familiar with Wovenwar. But it's pretty much the As I lay Dying without Tim Lambesis on vocals because, well he's in jail lol.. Anyway.. Same badass guitar riffs, but with clean vocals. They've released two albums now, and the first one was amazing!! I just figured some of you might not know about them.. But if you enjoyed AILD you should definitely check these guys out.

Does this song exist as a bass-version? Really, the whole Doom-OST would be very fine to play the guitar-parts on bass (because the only Bass-parts are pretty boring...)

Hello people out there, I am still new to all this CDLC stuff and was wondering if anyone can help with a CDLC? The song is Build Me Up Buttercup but not by The Foundations (its still a good one), but by You Me and Everyone We Know. Id try to make it myself but i can still barely play guitar haha. Thanks for anyone taking their time even reading this!

Does anybody here use key signatures in Guitar Pro? Is there any good reason not to? Lots of .gpx tabs I find use accidentals all through. I like to know what key a song is in. (Rocksmith of course doesn't tell you.)

I'm attempting to write a cover of the song Teacher's Pet, often referred to as Zach's Song or School of Rock from the movie school of rock. I have everything pretty much done but I have no clue how to tab vocals. I have more details on this in the link below on Ultimate Guitar. If someone wants to help me please check the link down there and post either here or on the Ultimate Guitar thread. Thank you. https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1717548

Hello there. Today I decided to finish my guitar experience forever and ever. It's a bad message for users who expected more CDLCs of Horytnica and many other bands. I believe someone will finish the job alongside game popularity growth. I will also sell my Cort KX5 to someone else who actually plans a career. I still doubt if to sell it or keep in closet for the case I changed my mind. I have been finishing my guitar adventure for 9 months and sometimes I play Rocksmith but no gain. Even a regression! I couldn't play any chord cleanly, guitar pick was slipping out of my fingers and changing angle, solos almost muted, strings and frets confused commonly. I couldn't e…

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes. so i've noticed that there is a serious lack of cage the elephant and have waited a while to see if more songs pop up but none have. so in fear of sounding lazy and wanting someone else to do work for me i was wondering if someone could post a couple more of their songs from like melophobia or thank you happy birthday. if so that would be great and if not oh well it was worth a try. thanks.

So if you could make a band of anybody from any band who would you choose? why? The band would consist of this set up Singer - Guitarist - Bassist - Drummer - (The Singer can be the same as your Guitarist or Bassist or Drummer) You may only use one member from a band/act. They may be alive or dead it doesn't matter This would be mine ^^ Singer - Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge & Slash) Has a amazing voice to listen to as he sings Guitarist - Daron Malakian (System of a down) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5bXYXI2DWE Underrated in my opinion Bassist - Cliff Burton (Passed Metallica member) Such a great bassist on the few songs he did with Metallica before he died Drumm…

So I've been playing a lot of Rocksmith recently. I've decided to take my ownership of three electric guitars seriously and have started playing one hour every day between 23:00 and 00:00 (I use headphones, don't worry) At first, I though that the first health issue I'll come across would be torn skin on the tips of my fingers, but since I decided to only play one hour per day, the skin just hardened, which is wonderful for guitar. My fingertips are ugly, but they're useful. I've come to realize that no matter how hard I try to keep my left wrist straight, it always hurts after playing for a while. This is especially common when I play faster and more difficult sectio…

Hey guys! I have been playing guitars for about 12-13 years but I'm not that good as I should be anyway: can't still manage tapping properly for instance, but I'm thinking about getting a new axe. I had a special Stratocaster edition years ago and I hated it (it was called Fender Fat Strat Deluxe W/ Floyd Rose) I've been listening to a lot of Buckethead stuff and I'd like to have something close to it. On the new axe I'm thinking of, I'd need a killswitch, a full tremolo and a very good action. What would you guys suggest? I'm pretty sure I'd need someone to build the killswitch later on because as far as I know only the signature Buckethead comes with the killswitch(es).…

Hey, everyone! I'm thinking of buying a new electric guitar, I have a budget of about 850$. Personally, I am a metal head and I want to get a guitar that reflects that taste of music. I'm torn between either Jackson or Ibanez (also there is a 7-String PRS SE Custom I came across while looking around which I really liked). What do you guys think? What should I get? (Oh and I'm considering Orange or Blackstar regarding amps.)

Hey guys, I've got a question..maybe some of you more tech savvy people can help me out. Lots of great tones in Rocksmith right? ...Well I want to practice the scales I've used in game, with backing tracks that are free to use online, say, a blues jam or something. My software is primitive, to say the least...my knowledge even moreso. I'm using Audacity, and I am able to record using the Realtone cable through Audacity...which is great, over a backing track...BUT, I want to know if there is a way to record using the tones in Rocksmith, over a backing track in Audacity. I've turned Audio Exclusivity OFF...I've tried various things, but the moment I alt+tab out of the ga…

The product has peaked my interest because I'm never going to own a lot of gear. I'm at the point in life where guitar is just fun for me and I have no aspirations of playing in a band or anything like that, I'm 45 for crying out loud, I can't stay up that late! I do find it I feel I'm missing something when the single little amp I have just isn't versatile enough to create all the tones I would like since I really have a broad range of music I like to play around with. I can't expect one amp to get me from Bob Dylan to Slash, right? I have been thinking about an amp modeler and read a little about he Amplitube products and it seems, seems, that this might be someth…
