So... i am quite a moviehead... but real life can be a pain when it comes to finding 2 free hours regularly esp. when you spend your free time jammin on some chords.... What i have done against that is bringing to life "10 in a row" which means 10 movies in a row me and a couple of friends celebrate 2 or 3 times a year (we have the 25th anniversary on saturday (!) if counted right). So thats two days and i havent had any time to browse imdb by now. I was native violin (almost exclusive) for much of my life, but a broken thumb ended that for me. So I became a multi-instrumentalist: everything from sitar to cello. But I just noticed that my plucking hand callouses are thicker than my fretting hand. Can I officially declare myself a bass player now? I would like to join the club if I am worthy.

Hey Could anyone help me figure out some chords. I have been trying to understand this since forever. I have a link with timecode. He has 7 string guitar so it does sound beefier. It sounds close to Fm Ab Eb Db But sound seems slightly off. Not sure what tuning he is using too but if anyone could give a bit of help I'd appreciate that 🙂

With customforge forums being specifically dedicated to CDLC and only marginally on discussions about studying, composing, performing and such, I wonder do you regularly visit other online forums for musicians? Do you have any good recommendations for bass learners? I used to visit harmonycentral forums long ago but they are nearly dead nowadays. Also, there was quite too high amount of toxicity for my tastes there.

As i always gotta push myself or smthg or whyever i wanted to gift myself smthg special for my birthday this year i ordered some fine woodworking tools, luthiers stuff and nice tonewood to build a guitar. Just began playing jazz (I was originally playing thrash metal, rock, etc.) and I figured that a good way to get used to the chords would be to play a couple of songs on Rocksmith. Okay so I dont know if anything like this exists in the custom world or not, or if someone will ever make this kinda stuff. Not sure how to describe it either, But Tere are some melodies that are very simple to play but also sound great and for the most part stays away from cords. simple being objective of course I can play farly complicated things now but my heart keeps getting drawn to songs that have melodies I like, those simple but kinda powerful parts that would sound good on one guitar with or without any effects, not supper Arpeggio heavy either (at least not fast ones I hate those lol). I bought a "DONNER" brand pedal, the "Bustain", powered at 9 volts, I would like to know if anyone uses any pedal to play with rocksmith, I simply ask because the original Ubisoft cable no longer works, it was the pedal to break it? in the end I bought another one and I'm afraid, now, to connect it to the pedal.

New to forums and CDLC in general, found so much great stuff so far and I'm now looking at dipping my foot in the water on trying to get some creation/editing going, and wanted to start with one of my current favorite bands. Problem is, he uses 7 and 8 string lead guitars, and I max out at 6. So my question is one of music theory; is there a way to transpose those notes played on those extra strings onto the standard 6 or are there notes played in octaves lower that prevent me from playing the song due to those limitations? I have a few reasons to get a midi keyboard, from just playing it for fun and learning it, to a midi hotkey tool for my computer. synthesia seems like it would be fun to play, 150 songs included would probably get me by for several months before I crave variety, however importing any midi song... while it sounds good up front, without retooling or simplification just sounds like a recipe for frustration, so im wondering if there is a database like customforge for that game as well?
