I am very new to creating custom DLC. I have created one for personal use for practice purposes but nothing on the scale of a song... yet. Unless someone specifically wants it, this will be strictly for personal use and will not be published. I found a version of If This is It by Huey Lewis and the News but it only has the bass line. I found a guitar pro tab also that seems pretty accurate. So I took the psarc file and brought it into the editor and was able to get the EOF file. My CDLCs will be mainly consist of 70/80s, but an occasion 90s and some 2000s will come along. This is basically a redo of CF versions that are not accurate, bad tones, and just doesn't look good. I will be trying to do this Ubisoft-style CDLCs to make it more interesting. Lead, Rhythm, Bass, Vocals and other arrangements will be included on all my CDLCs. Hi, I have created custom DLCs years ago using a guide I found on Smithy Anvil. I want to create some more, but after spending about half an hour searching for a guide on these forums, I could not find one. Maybe I am just looking at the wrong place. Can someone please show me where the beginners' guide to CDLC creation is, which would list and explain all the steps required? Never mind, I found it.

I never really used the editors before, but one day I came across the multitrack versions of a bunch of SOAD songs so I thought... wouldn't it be cool if I could play these in Rocksmith and know that I'm hearing 100% me and not Daron? So I basically grabbed the mp3s for the drums, bass, vocals, "extras", etc and just left the lead guitar out. Since user ribworm already made a kick-ass CDLC for Spiders, and the tone sounds pretty spot on, I basically just sync'd up his chart with the guitar-less audio track and repackaged it. Been looking at Youtube tutorials all day. I got half way through and it dosnt recognise some of the file formats i have created from other programs. Due to programs being updated to newer versions and changing the whole menu structure and options around. I downloaded the pro guitar tab and edited it and loaded it up into guitar pro 7.5 fixed it as in tutorial and saved it as a .gp file. Tied loading it into editor on firewith a error in file. Tried lots of different things is there a better or newer totorial around that uses the updated programs? Cheers

I still have pretty much no idea what to do with tones (especially for guitar, since I don't have one). If anyone could advise on the most common types of adjustments (EQ, pedals, whatever) that would be a great help! I recently (as of Feb. 2016) started adding the notes.eof files to my download folders. For some of the older ones I think the .ini files were different which can cause the sync to get screwed up, so I'll try to update the older ones (I'll probably be wanting to do serious updates to lots of my older CDLC anyway). Lately I've made quite some songs with a Bonus guitar arrangement, I really like adding as much tracks as possible in a CDLC... When I upload the CDLC, I do can only check 4 arrangements (L, R, B, V) :( The only way I can tell people that there is an extra is in the description... Would it be possible to add an extra checkbox that had Bonus arrangement, or maybe Alternative arrangment (A symbol)? Seeing as the official Rocksmith also have quite some Alternative arrangement added lately. Maybe even in a further checklist, you could say what the bonus is. It could be just a third guitar (lately had alot of these songs) or could be the vocals tabbed on guitar, or a keyb…

EDIT: Never mind. EOF UI is just horrible to me so I'm looking at using something to create GP5 to import into EOF so I don't really care what the answers are to these questions. ;) New to EOF and have two questions: 1) How can I get the first beat of a song to not be the 1st beat of the measure? I've got a song with a lead in or two and it feels wrong that the 1 beat is not on the 1 beat. 2) How can I make a slide off a note and how do I make the destination not be another note? TIA!

I'm trying to make my first DLC but can't seem to figure out how to let notes overlap where one begins before the other. EOF cuts the previous note off where the next one begins, and while I can linknext to and add the first note to the second to make the second appear as a chord, it seems it would indicate an extra strum that doesn't necessarily belong, and also inhibits the note length of that first note so that it has to match the second. Any help would be appreciated.
