Absolutely. Will try to set it up later this weekend and see how that goes.

just installed the game and did all by the book but i dont understand why the custom songs dont show after launching the game

I know its a dumb question but are the files fully safe to install because as soon as I tried installing the it cancelled the download saying malicious files detected

It isn't a dumb question. (If you consider that it has already been discussed in this very thread already... Then you may have an arguable point).

However, if you scroll back through this post, even the previous page you will see the same questions and answers. The enabler makes a change to the program and installs the .dll therefore Windows Defender et al see it as malicious. You have to make that decision if to do so. You can go back to page 40 after reading the previous page to this page for a better in depth answer.

What version of the game are you using, Did you put the downloaded cdlc into the DLC folder, Is the game installed in the normal default C: drive directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014\dlc) or on another partition / drive, Did you accidentally try installing the enabler into a backup folder or directory, can you see the D3DX9_42.dll in the Rocksmith folder?

Are you using a filter or a favorites list?

I am sure I have forgotten a possibility.

Super simple process. Just installed, ran the CDLC installer and then it pulled the custom songs from the install folder! Just gotta figure how to adjust some of the songs (if difficulty is an option) as some are just overly simplistic.

Good stuff. Well, CDLC vary in quality, some are just that. But you can always use the DLC Builder tool to rebuild a file if it doesn’t have dynamic difficulty. It’s an algorithmic solution, so limited but most CDLC aren’t done by hand in detail anyway.

Will def try to play around with it. Just gotta get used to actually reading what it wants me to play given I'm so used to Tabs/Guitar Pro style. 

Found one with varying difficulties and set the difficulty to always max, so that worked!

solved the problem last night , for some reason the cdlc enabler did not add  D3DX9_42.dll until i reintalled the cdlc enabler 

I have clicked on the RS2014 CDLC enabler and i didn´t get the notification of it finnsihed to download and it has been about 30 mins now. Is there a way to fix this?

im having the same issue, all the .pacs are in the dlc folder, the D3DX9_42.dll is there too. i dont know whats wrong

If you both have the same problem, the CLDC is not showing, the cdlc is in the DLC folder within the Rocksmith 2014 folder, If the enabler installed the .dll in the same Rocksmith 2014 folder, and all of that is within the Steam directory where it belongs, and not in a backup folder;

and you do not have within the game a list filter selected, a song favorites list selected;

Head to the Discord server and seek help there. It is odd that 2 people are having the identical problem at the same time. The better help supposedly resides there in the Discord Server, and there are active people there. If you find an answer there, please return here and post what the solution was to help others in the future.

Okey i just solved the problem , hahaha i forgot to clear filtered song so it show just normal song , sorry for my mistake and thank you for telling me.

Is it impossible to get it working on xbox 360 because they shut own xbox live and you can't download a official dlc? or is there a work around ? Have full code exec on the system.

So the question: to reinstall custom dlc on my rocksmith copy, i have to use the new installer? Or is better to direcli copy the .dll file in the rocksmith directory?

Since you did not describe everything about your previous PC and game, this really can not be answered shortly, yet it can.

If everything about the game is the same, your .dll is not corrupted, there should be no reason that you shouldn't be able to copy over the .dll that you are already using.

Internet speed, internet availability, etc., there should be no reason that you can not download the enabler and run it either.

Within the English language we have an idiom that goes, "It is a horse a piece".

SOOOO if copying over the .dll does not work, download the enabler and do that. (Which I am sure you already figured out on your own 16 hours later.)

Indeed! I have used the enabler and it's all go well. A thing i dont understand, after used the enabler, in the dlc directory there was some custom dlc i had in the other pc...

How can I modify the path where the RS2014-CDLC-Installer searches to install, because I don't have C:/ drive. I see no option to search manually.

 

Also, I downloaded a few songs and copy -> paste them in my DLC. They show up ingame but when I play them, nothing happens. I know I need this app to make them work.

That is above my pay grade. There is an authentication / hand shake error, I would assume on your end as I was just able to download the patch just now.

I suggest using a different browser, or a different device to download it.

Indeed, you need to run the enabler to patch in order for the game to play the cDLC.

The C drive is the default designation by Windows for the main OS drive and partition. I would try manually copying or moving the enabler to the Rocksmith folder within the Steam folder and run it from there if you are running Steam from a different drive than a C:\ drive. It is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014.

Tested from linux with brave and firefox, also using a VPN, same error.

Tested also from Windows11 and brave in a virtualbox, same error.
