Really cool bass charts this week, lots of fun playing - too bad I only played once...

Regarding the difficulty ratings, I lean towards what @cacahuate51 and @Nomgoose wrote earlier in the week (page 1). Joe Walsh song is rated a bit too low, and The Allman Brothers Band song too high; the difference in difficulty isn't significant enough to justify a rating of 3 for the first song and 6 for the second. @robolechuga I hope you update the rating at the end of the week by averaging it based on the participants ratings.

I have to admit this was quite hard for me - a similar level of difficulty to the bass chart in Metallica song - so I'd give this a 7.

7 – overall, this is not hard, but there are a few fast licks.

Improvement. I rated this a 7 before, but now the solo doesn't seem that hard to me. But other participants also mentioned 7, so it's fine.

Lots of fun. I'd like to play this again, but I don't know if I'll have time.

My one-time fretless bass play-throughs of this week's beginner, intermediate, and advanced songs. Still hoping a few of you have a fretless you can pull out for a friendly side-competition each week. My rough fretless rankings are kind of backwards from the ordinary bass rankings this week.

The advanced is easiest on fretless this week, I managed a 99%. But I do know this song pretty well, and it doesn't have much hand shifting.

For me the intermediate is next easiest with a 98%.

The beginner seems the hardest on fretless, with a 97 for me. I guess it is not an easy beginner even on fretted. I think when I suggested this song I had rated all the parts at 3.5, thinking they could go either beginner or intermediate, but I'm not a conscientious ranker.

This is so much fun, really glad you guys are hosting this - ya bloody legends!

I use imgbb hosting service to upload screenshots, and when inserting them, I use Ctrl+Shift+V because a standard Ctrl+V doesn't paste a link that would automatically convert into an image. It might be an issue with the host, especially since you're on a different continent.

However, I've also noticed that sometimes when I go back to an older week, my images disappear; it's not a huge problem if the week is already finished, but perhaps I should add the screenshots differently - maybe by uploading them via Steam.

I’ve never played a fretless bass, but what you’re saying makes sense to me. Bass charts that require quick movement across many frets (like the Joe Walsh song) must be more difficult on a fretless bass, as you need a good feel for where to move, which probably requires a lot of experience. In The Allman Brothers Band song, you often have to jump between strings, but everything happens within the span of a few frets.

I can't improve on Allman's song anymore, so here's this instead.

Had some problems this week where a string on my guitar broke and there were other things I had to do as well so I didn’t really have time to play lead and didn’t get the results I wanted either.
