You were the first player in that song out of everyone in the table🥳

Reason why it was a lost trophy - no one in beginner played that song ( you were promoted to int lead last week)

Bowling for soup was intermediate at the beginning of the week, however was swapped with the Santana one (misinput meant it as 5 not as beginner) quite early in the week since it was harder (ended being a 6) . Theoretically if the santana song wasn't there it would be your first win in intermediate...And this is why I guess i should put less songs in the weeks. My bad, but congrats on the score and hope to see you participate in this weeks songs.

Not sure what's hard about this one. I always think I'm on the way to a much better score.

This song is so much fun to listen to and play, almost makes me forget how bad I'm sounding. Thanks to @robolechuga for including these terrific less familiar songs along with the classic rock faves.

If you love these blues-roots basslines - I sure do - another really fun song is I Know a Little by Lynyrd Skynyrd. It doesn't seem to be on CF anymore, here is a link to a copy I downloaded some years ago (in Mac format, should be convertible to other formats)

Yes, I use RSConvert_GUI . I don't even remember where and when I got that software but it works well. Just hoping my old Intel Mac stays good for a few more years so I don't have to figure out how to move the RS setup to a new Mac or to my gaming PC.

good to see solos in this weeks songs.
I think this one might be hard to get a high % due to not many notes but technical stuff. The solo is doable but maybe a bit more string skippy than i think a beg solo would be. I say 3.5

Hum, I tried last week songs and it didn't go well, and it's not going well either this week (I get a less worse score with Squier than with Walsh 😔). So, as much as I wanted to play, the championships (and even more Intermediate) aren't for me yet (with my 88 hours on Rocksmith...). I'll keep training, I'll keep playing championship songs on the side (and maybe commenting 😅), I'll certainly cheer and celebrate other's scores, but I won't be participating.

@MotivatedCF Don't be discouraged, every week brings a different challenge! If you’re playing the songs on the side, please share your scores with us :) A score is better than no score. Jumping into the championship with only 88 hours played is already a fantastic achievement!

I'm having issues with both the Allman Brothers and Sturgill Simpson songs for bass this week... Rocksmith's telling me I'm making mistakes when I'm sure I'm not 😂

I occasionally get this issue on other CDLC files. I've tried recalibrating, retuning and anything else I can think of. It could be the intonation/setup of my bass but it's occurring on frets relatively near the headstock so I'm doubtful that's the issue. I honestly don't think I'm misreading the chart/mishearing the music.

Anything else I can try? (apart from playing better 😁)

I was tired and drenched in sweat. It sounded awful.

Intonation affects the whole fretboard so make sure that is correct
finger pressure maybe making the notes to sharp make sure to have enough input signal RS mod can make the input a few db more I believe
for instance my bass is pretty quiet so my input is on 4 for guitar and 8 for bass.
that's why I prefer external audio interface you can control the input better

I had some issues with my bass (on drop tunings) and installed a mod that would show the note played on screen and adjusted the tuning to compensate (I think on lower frets the margin of error is bigger)

Other times I would tune the bass with a physical tuner and the results would be better...

Also check the input gain (if the bass is quiet, maybe try setting it manually to 9 or 10 in the game) and the cable/connection to the bass (my cable sometimes does some rattling noises and stops registering sound).

Nooo @DemotivatedCF don't lose hope! I'm hosting next week and word on the street is I tend to overrate songs 😂

Remember the ratings at the beginning of the week are not set in stone!

Joe Walsh (4.5) for triplets, octaves, fast movement across neck. Both intermediate tracks and even first advanced feel easier than this to me

Billy Squier (3.5) mostly one position, bit of an awkward FHP for beginners

Allman Brothers (4) fast but simpler rhythm

Sturgill (6) for techniques, slides at speed

I like his song "I Don't Mind"

Do y'all think promotions might just be happening too fast and discouraging beginners? 🤔

Life of Sins chart is really messed up. The intro doesn't match the song and there is a ton of spots where the streaks just break even if you hit it perfectly, I tested in rift repeater on as slow as possible to to make sure, its almost impossible to get above 96% without luck.

Edit: Hopefully Its not just my installation and other people experience the weird note drops as well.

This part of the song has ghost notes or whatever the terminology is for rocksmith.

This week's beginner and intermediate songs are difficult to achieve good scores, so don't worry if you're struggling. Even looking at the leaderboard, you can see that the scores are lower than usual, so the difficulty ratings probably should be a bit higher.

Now it is @drand responsibility to choose easy songs next week so as not to discourage participants 😅

I checked, and you're actually right. The post with score for the Leatherneck song was added at 8:24 PM, and the new week started at 11:25 PM, so the score definitely counts.

I've added it to the leaderboard, so @robolechuga, you can update the winner list in the main post.

Oh, for me, this is definitely more of a lead chart than a rhythm one. It's hard - 7 for sure, maybe a 7.5.

Second attempt - better, but I doubt I’ll be able to get a much better score here.
