I guess I'm ready to play bass in a cover band.

This is probably a really stupid way to learn an instrument, but my method has kept me coming back to play at least a few times a week.

The "Could probably play it in a cover band" Method: Sight read as much as possible, trying not to play tracks more than once (unless they're really good songs). If I get a 90% or better, no need to play it again, because if I'm already at 90% or above, if I had a week, I could surely practice that song well enough to play a gig at the local dive bar.

Over the course of like, 5 years, that's 1373 total songs played, with 93.82% average accuracy. I'm pretty proud of that.

Now the question remains, will the imaginary local dive bar notice that I'm fiddling with my Steam Deck between tracks?
