Always has been one of my favorite songs to play on bass (next to another Death song, Flesh and the Power It Holds), an insane blast to play.

replayed both since there's been an update. Still think both could be rated higher


I actually got to see part of a set by one of their singers this past sunday by mistake. Was just passing by one of the stages at a festival i was at (corona capital) and I heard Them bones and I was like huh i know that song! Didnt know he was doing solo work and was quite surprised that it didnt mention that Jerry cantrell was a previous singer of alice but maybe its common knowledge (i ddnt know cause its not really my type of music but they are a few good tunes) 

open f chord thing wasnt registering for me, i guess maybe the game wanted me to do downstrokes instead or maybe i wasnt doing it fast enough.

i think both can be atleast 6.5 just cause its a long song. Cant imagine 100%/ itll take a while. 

my final score for the week. i wouldnt have bothered to get better at the songs if i didnt like them. both the songs and the charts for the songs are amazing! really fun to play :)

messed up the solo because of the bends as always :D

@drand very huge results. My congratulations!

Loved the Skynyrd. Solid 5.5, reasonably challenging in nuances, perhaps even closer to 6. Bruno Mars is just fun to play, couldn't keep myself from giving it a go :) Feel free to exclude my score from the beginner competition ;)

We've already agreed in this topic that this is more than 5.5 😉

And btw, I don't know how you ended up in the advanced class on bass, because you definitely represent masterclass level. Your advanced scores seem unachievable for me, so you'll easily win every week until you level up, which might be boring 😄

I fought Death on all paths in Score Attack. Very happy I managed to play Lead without a single strike!

I've tested this briefly before, but now I know that Lead is a bit more difficult than Rhythm, because besides the solo, it has slightly more varied verse parts. I think Lead is 8.5, Rhythm 8, and Bass, I don't know 8/8.5, because it's a bit harder to play than Rhythm, although the chart is similar.

@drand congrats on the rank up, the competition is gonna even tougher in the advanced lead group...gonna have to focus and keep a watch for the call outs.

Just remember who was hosting the week you crushed it.

IDK, probably because I never played a masterclass song. It's usually some drop-tuned metal, which I don't enjoy listening to or playing. I tried a few non-metal songs and failed miserably 😄 So I can assure you, my skills are far from being a master; those scores are at the top of my abilities and don't come easy 😉
