The CDLC Enabler update ins't working for me. Please help!

Featured Replies

The updates in the past have worked now I can't get any cdlc songs to work. I lost all my songs and have to start from scratch. Is there anything I am doing wrong? The video said put it in the dlc folder for Rocksmith 2014 but I am not seeing any changes.

The CDLC goes in the DLC folder. The enabler does not. It has to be able to see Rocksmith2014.exe in order to function.

You can place it in the main Rocksmith2014 file folder if you wish, some people find that they must in order for the enabler to find the .exe when the Steam installation is in a custom location rather than the standard directory.

However, you should be able to run the enabler from downloads or the desktop if your Steam installation is in the traditional location of C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014

You need to figure this out first before the CDLC. If an Original version one won't work, you can not expect a custom one to work.

It is by far best to get the game to work first before modifying it. By not working, what do you mean, explain. Does the game crash on start up, does the game run at all, what happens when you try to use an Original DLC or any Original base game song?

the game operates as it is supposed to. there is a couple of the ones ive purchased that work but out of the 40 or so i have purchased threw steam only like 5 show up in the game and none of the cdlc from custom forge will load.  i have a new hp victus  gaming laptop running windows 11  but i am not super tec knowledgeable so maybe im messing up somehow im not sure the file for the mod are in the same area as the rocksmith2014.exe and the dle folder shows all my dlc from steam  but onlly like 5 or so show up in game so im not sure where i messed up

well i was wrong only the songs that i purchased threw steam work  for some reason the cdlc from here wont load ? how do i go about getting them to work as i have a lot of songs that i have downloaded that just wont show up?

@ BigDaddyTex  Silly question but have you tried the CDLC enabler from the link on this site? CDLC Enabler just download it and double click it and you should be done, if not I have no clue.

i have . i even uninstalled and re downloaded it. it is only letting the purchased cdlc work none from customforge  it is really bothering me as on my other pc works just fine but for some reason on this laptop it will not work
