I commented yesterday that it wasn't a hard bass week, but I checked the difficulty ratings carefully and I would still add +1 to the difficulty rating to every song except the masterclass song. Bass paths are often underrated because most of the championship participants are at the high-intermediate or adv/master level. But when someone is at a more beginner or slightly intermediate level, like @ Minute2Midnight , it is not so easy to achieve a very high score.

So:
The Chumbawamba song is easy and repetitive but quite uncomfortable to play (repetitive jumps over many frets). I would give it a 3.
The Culture Club song is a 4, but due to the difficult beginning of the synthesized bass I would give it a 4.5.
The Gravestone song has some fast riffs, although not very technically difficult, so I would give it a 5.

Wow! For the guitar paths this is more 9 than 10 diff, but the bass is a cleary 10. Some parts are like guitar fast solos and those tapping parts, omg.

I feel Like I'm doing better than the score suggests . that could be because I love the song nearer a 6

I didn't even play any bass parts this week, but I'm gonna voice my opinion anyway. Just because I think that 'clogging up the thread' makes a better experience for everyone. 😉

@ Mikson If you say the song is a 3 then it's a 3. I trust your ratings more than my own. But have you ever encountered a bass chart that you'd rate a 1?

There was probably one song here a few weeks ago that I rated 1.5 in bass path. I think that difficulty 1 is a chart that has only simple, single notes and enough distance between notes that even someone who starts playing guitar/bass and "doesn't feel" the distance of the frets has time to easily position their fingers correctly.

Yeah, Chumbawaba is not difficult at all note wise, but it is so repetitive, as a beginner my fingers and muscles get tired. Same thing happens to me playing Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter.

I gotta check that one out then to see if it's a similar difficulty, I think that song was before I joined 😝

It wasn't that tough in the end, just more of the practice I put in the weeks before was paying off after a couple of days of practicing for an hour. 

I was trying hard the last 2 weeks to rank up with the following songs:
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets - Cornflake (6.5 diff)
Sparton - Verwirrklichung (5 diff)

They both had a little bit of a recognition issue so it was hard to get to 99%+ 😅 
But I learned to play more accurate+faster with both of them🥰
