Thanks for another great week! I never played Banjo Kazooie much, I was more of a Crash Bandicoot fan but this song is super fun to play! I think its rated correctly too.

Trivium rocks!! And this was a fun one to use the low B on my 5 string.

I won't be posting the new week for a while yet (evening EST) so keep working on those scores.

What can we do to get players back that left? Being mentioned leads to a message when you enter cf.com - there was some success with that on the short term. That could done again, also automated a bit....
I stopped doing that cause i prefer the players that don´t have to be motivated.
We never did any advertising outside of CF - everybody is invited to encourage players they meet in their RL (best), guitar and music forums like in UG and facebook, i think there is nothing against that in the rule... Posting about CUSTOMS and CF in UBI and UBI ROCKSMITH forums is strictly forbidden!

Another important thing for me is that under the score everyone is playing for oneselves to have fun with the music and improve - if you make the way the target also the pieces without real opponents are ok.

I haven't played in the competition (INT) for a long time. Part of that is lacking time and motivation and a lot has to do with the songs of late in the Beginner and Intermediate categories. I am not knocking the songs or those that work so hard to make up the selections etc. each week. I simply do not like songs that are not really guitar songs, like a piano song made into a guitar song. I also will not play songs from video games or anime. Maybe it's my age, I like old school rock. I check almost every week and listen to the songs on youtube, hoping that I will like one of the songs and jump back into the competition.

I hear you buddy. Nothing to stop you adding to the list for selection. In fact, I'm going to add some AC/DC this weekend myself.

1. I agree with @ luckyoldme , you should add some tunes to the selection list. Especially beginner tracks are needed, so if you can pls post them.

2. This is my opinion, but I don't think I'm alone in this: listening to a song is different to playing it. Some of the songs from here that I find most fun to play I never listen to outside of RS.
Sometimes as song that's not that great to listen to is really great to play along. Sometimes there's some really funky stuff going on that you don't notice till you try to play it. And even if you don't like the song after playing it, it's still better than doing 'exercises' imo.  All I'm saying is I found some real gems here in songs I'd never listen to twice.  Maybe you'd find some too if you gave them a chance. I mean, what do you got to lose by trying a song, 3-5 minutes? Seems like a low investment, high reward kinda deal.

tl;dr I recommend you give a chance even to the songs you don't like on first listen.

A year or two ago, the number of Rocksmith players increased due to Covid-19, but this year things got better and everyone started going out.

That's why I think there are fewer Rocksmith players these days. Sometimes I check youtube to found if there's a channel where new Rocksmith players upload videos, but I haven't found much lately.

So it might be best not to worry too much about this matter.
