Dang, If anything, this new version of Rocksmith + has fired me up to get back into to Rocksmith 2014 that I haven't played for a few years now, where all the great songs are. I haven't even looked at what has come to Custom Forge in the last few years. There is gonna be 100's of new songs to look through. So I fired  up Rocksmith 2014, downloaded some songs, but the froze up and wouldn't play.

For me, adding the D3DX9_42.dll file fixed the problem.

Tried that. Managed to get the game to work again. CDLC seems to not work at all anymore, Songs don't even show up in CS songs manger

Is CDLC just broke now and everything on Customsforge is obsolete?

I managed to get the game working again. My problem was game "hanging on screen" when custom song loads. Beta method not worked for me.

Here's what I did.

1. Uninstall game (save custom songs to other folder and delete whole Rocksmith-folder)
2. Install game on steam
3. Copy custom songs back
4. Install rs_asio ((https://github.com/mdias/rs_asio/releases/tag/v0.6.1) if needed, I've got Focusrite 2i2 3rd gen) and setup rs_asio.ini for your interface.
5. Install CDLC-enabler (https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CDLCEnabler). This will also install new D3DX9_42.dll on rocksmith-folder. Setup rs-asio.ini if you installed rs-asio.
6. Start game and it should work.

If they don't show up in cfsm they aren't gonna show up in game either, most likely because they've been deleted/moved somehow. Possibly from uninstalling/re-installing the game.

Check the contents of your dlc folder to see if the custom songs are still in there and make sure you've got the cherub rock dlc installed since it's needed for them to show up in game.

You might have to redownload all your custom songs again.

So I'm currently having this problem. I tried downloading the new dll but it seems to think my copy of the game is stolen or pirated... I have all my steam games on an external HD and not in a normal c/drive program folder. Would that have anything to do with it?

Being on an external drive will make no difference, the dll installer is just having some issues lately so you'll have to install the dll manually.

Create a new profile and your CDLCs should be all there. It worked for me.

Thank you, I had this problem and I could solve it using your instructions. God bless you, not CDLCs are working again! 

I have a problem, I don't know if it is because the update but I the new CDLC I try to play it doesn't shows in the song list, it shows the CDLC I downloaded before but the new ones not. I deleted the DLL file and put the new one but still happens the same. Doing the beta method doesn't work too.
