I have a bit of tricky issue. My comp is running Ubuntu 22.04 and RS is running via Proton in Steam. I use wineasio + rs_asio with jackd2 server for low latency (got it down to < 10ms with that setup) but the problem is that this setup only works when starting Rocksmith via a WINETRICKS string outside of Steam, while Steam is running.  Here is the start string:

WINEPREFIX=/home/kodi/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/221680/pfx /home/kodi/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/GE-Proton7-30/files/bin/wine /home/kodi/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Rocksmith2014/Rocksmith2014.exe

When I try to run RS as per default from within Steam wineasio will not connect to the Jack server, so no sound from the guitar.  Now the issue is that when running RS via external command, I am missing the CDLC from the song list. When starting RS from within Steam I can see all the CDLC, but I dont have sound from the guitar due to the wineasio problem.

So, I am not really sure where the issue comes from. Looks like the d3dx9_42 dll is not loaded when starting the game with a WINETRICKS string.  What I saw as well is that changes done in the rocksmith.ini (i.e. run in windowed mode at 1024x768) is not recognized when running via WINETRICKS string.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this
