Hi lahelio, did you had a chance to test that custom alone? Its the only custom I added when save file broke. I think that a custom alone does not corrupt save profiles, I think its when there are other customs, the guy who did this custom said it works fine for him and hes friends, so he and hes friends don't have the same customs as I do. Maybe this is not an isolated issue with a specific custom but when this customs has other x custom on the dlc folder.

Yeah, did. And as you suspected no corrupt alone. Need still "pack" testing. Haven't figure out "rules" for save file corrupter yet. I keep mind what you said and check this issue still. This save file corrupting issue take so much time, and effort that i certainly hope other people too... who know "how to" backup test and info about these suspected corrupters. Playng "packs" where these songs are included.

And if developers gurus can hear, why this happen? What kind of bug does this? Any idea?

Tested one more time, song was included in random pack, no save file corrupt.

My view is that if even one save file corrupter is in dlc folder it can corrupt save file in random, you don't have to play it. I have random corrupts nowdays about 2-4* per month. play lot, and Have many untested songs in dlc folder. So, being not careful... 

Other possibilities are unknown to me, tell me if somebody knows... sure can guess, but thats pointless. As long as i have untested songs in dlc folder i'm believer that i will catch more of them :)

 

Test style: my way is to take back up just before i start suspected song (Game is on)... back up works, but latest save file won't. Song that corrupts get never % (after restarting game), because it will always corrupt save file during previous session after played.

This is way i have tested 2 confirmed already suspected save file corrupters... tested only one time, other confirmed only by me... 

Free to unconfirm them way i presented, or other way, and report here...

 

Random corrupts act differentially, they destroy somehow all backups during latest game session. As if game was programmed to corrupt save file when you start it. And when you next time play same songs that last time, (suspected corrupters) no save file corrupts occur...

I just can't confirm any random save file corrupters, sorry.

 

There must be 99% way, to confirm song to corrupt save file when retested. Without 99% confirm i can't list them... this list causes too much harm for charters if its not reasonable accurate and verified.

 

If you or anybody else have any better way to point out how song can be confirmed to corrupt save file, just tell me...

 

By the way, have you piepesado  any unplayed songs in your dlc folder? If you do... one of them may cause this corrupt too.. for moment i thought this one would be easy to confirm but it wasn't.

No prob, we can't never play em all if we keep downloading more... charters are just too fast (AWE)  :-P

Just take backups and have fun, and get used to chaotic randomness... 

 

Or U could stop downloading and play em all.to %.. then you could destroy or verify my belief in random corrupts origin. ..

I just to try be useful someway, after/while played so many songs.

I would like to direct all THX to charters, toolkit developers, and page providors.

But sure its feels good to hear my fun hoppy pleases others too. 

 

ALL Reports are wellcome can't do this by myself anymore well enough, just too many songs to handle alone, but that's of cource awe.

But it makes me beg some help... list errors, save file corrupters, same names and long timers... crash, dead tone, jam, misc...not fixed--- are very helpful to report here. I will test and list them as soon as i can... i will not list all issues as soon issue appears, charters have to have about 2 weeks time to fix issue after report on topic issue unknown to charter.

 

Today only 20 new songs played, only one tune issue, but most likely that will be fixed soon, so no list addings and that's always great...more greater would be only delete some until list is empty.

Less and less issues with songs, so great job for charter.

 

Founded out that its now more common that same named song works than not. It used to be opposite..I think same name issue is noticed by most charters by now, and they reset DLC names so that conflicts happens only seldom. Thx for that, crashing is never fun even if charter haven't done nothing wrong... only game bugging.

 

Less and less dead toners too, people do mostly use latest toolkit, and even tone songs more frequently now.

 

Last 100 pack of new songs and only few issues with new songs..

When i started to list songs, issues/song were about 1/10 now they are almost 1/100.

 

I think this is good time for me rest while and have holiday... .

Zwitter tested OK, Ich tu dir weh was already played to % and  OK, so no save file corrupt BUT...

You can easily check version by comparing file size of 2 songs, both are seen in upload list, and can be downloaded.

 

Testing and confirm or not only if you suspect another that i haven't played yet.

i haven't had any problems with either of those corrupting save files i've done some testing on my end. i'm not sure what's happening or if it's just a one time thing.

I don't know, I already deleted the song. Sorry. But I haven't had a corrupted save since. if neither of the versions are causing corrupted save files, then we have to look into the possibility that there is something else also causing them other than song files.

In post #55 speculated that random save file corrupts happen due to save file corrupting song is in dlc folder. 

I don't remember any last month random corrupts because i have removed all save file corrupters that i have found. (Only 1 founded due to report in another page)

Everybody are welcome to unconfirm those that are listed, and i'm just pleased if u can, because it would be list error fixed. Some of them are still confirmed only by me.

 

Sad part is that there are no known cure for save file corrupting songs, and so many are just so awe to play, and listing them causes so much pain for charter because there is no real fix invented for them..I try my best to not cause unnecessary pain for charters to list something that i can't confirm properly, or is confirmed only by one person, but another can't confirm it. 

 

I suspect that there are many save file corrupters on loose still, that cause issues even without playing them. Most likely there are no save file corrupters  in my dlc folder now, but after holiday and after downloaded almost 200 new songs case can be different.

 

Because sharkman828 already tested both versions without issues i don't see any point to me retest.these versions unless someone else or you  specify version that causes issues. My version causes no issue. 

 

Reports are always welcome, but as you can see in many cases i can't confirm them.

Eventhough listing save file corrupters cause pain for charters, more pain causes loose tens of save files forever without proper backups, so i keep on listing... to confirm one ... to make less total pain.

Just played one song tonight "Sweet Home Alabama" have played this many times on learn A Song without issues but played it on score attack "hard" for rhythm and upon completion Rocksmith froze and corrupted my profile....can anyone confirm this is a issue with this custom? ...on pc running windows 7

Crashing in middle of song can mean loosing data so, save file corrupt is always possible (unlikely still). One crash don't mean much, random crashes do happen. Retesting is always necessary, before listing. It would be great if people would do that before report too.

But I can do test later today (many more to test), but i haven't practice that song, and can't probably go as far as you do... so i don't suspect crash but bad and fast play..

 

EDIT: Rhytm score attack hard 279,964 second try, easier than suspected. So no crash nor corrupt for me.

 

 

GOOD NEWS first save file corrupter fixed.
