I tried to play custom dlc´s for the first time this evening.

I placed the D3DX9_42.dll in the Rocksmith2014 folder. I bougt Cherub Rock. I downloaded some p.psarc files and placed them in the dlc folder.

The songs that was included and the songs I have purchased works without problems.

But custom songs doesn´t work.

Two different things can happen:

1: No reaction when I press "Play Song" arrow. Can´t go back so I have to kill the program

2: Reaction  when I press "Play Song" arrow. Tuning step. Tuning OK, but the som never starts. Can´t go back so I have to kill the program.

 

I Have Windows 10 and Rocksmith 2014 Edition - Remastered   

 

What is wrong and how do I solve it?

Same thing here, I  have tried at least 3 so called fixes with no luck.

@@basstrucker Look at my link and make sure everything is alright, then if you still have issue, please tell us more than just "it doesn't work", it doesn't help anyway and surely won't allow us to help you properly.

I have spent 2 weeks and  too much money on this crappy GAME . I think it's time to just throw it the trash and move on.

I am Having the same problem I have used the Rocksmith Custom toolkit gui and the new D3DX9_42.dll and placed all the custom dlc in the right place after pressed play song nothing shows only speakers and sound but not running track or notes and have to tab alt off the program I am running it on windows 10 via steam and my game runs from my 3tb hard drive I Know they have updated Rocksmith Custom to the new Latest release build - 2.7.0.0 is there a different process you have use with this program now reinstall full game any help would be great

Note that you shouldn't need to use the toolkit at all if you own Cherub Rock which is very strongly recommended.

I had this same issue when first playing custom songs.

Just had to make sure to get the most recent update for the  D3DX9_42.dll file and it worked.

Same for me. Not working every since the update and did everything that all the help posts have suggested to no avail. 

 

Figured out that I just had to re-download the RS Patch after the RS Remastered update messed up my CDLCs and everything is working perfectly again. I use a Mac, but if you're having the same problem, it should work with PC as well.

 

If your CDLCs are freezing up when you choose your song and it's only taking you to the amp w/o the music notes, then just do what I mentioned and everything should be a-okay!

Same here - CDLC cannot be started. Just hands after  pressing "Play the song button" on a screen with speakers. Official songs works.

Mac user. Please suggest.

It's not necessarily anything we're doing wrong. I've had it working fine right up until a Rocksmith patch downloaded itself yesterday. Now it's not working. Maybe the dll needs to be looked at and updated for the latest patch?

 

Edit: Ignore. Just completed a reinstall and now it seems to be working fine. No idea why it stopped.  :huh:
