I've been watching my downloads counter for my CDLC last months and I had the feeling I got way less downloads then in the past. Sure this could be because of the choice of songs, the popularity, or that my audience stopped playing customs.

I was afraid CF was slowly dying :p

But when I went to check the download counter in Mediafire, the download counter is sometimes 2x or 3x higher ... sometimes just a few 5 or 10 downloads off, but 3x off (from 30 to 90) seems waaaaay off.

 

So is there anything changed in the way CF measures the download clicks? doesn't it count all the clicks leading to the download?

 

Not that numbers are anything important to show quality or impress people, I just like to see what customs are doing good and how much audience there is for each genre/artist

Download in ignition has always been (even before ignition) just a click counter on the download button, if someone share the mediafire link, ignition download number won't go up as their is no way we can count that kind of interaction that happen outside of our own system.

Allright, thanks for clearing it up for me ^^

A lot of what I download is shared with my daughter and my brother. I know this is tangential to the point but I just wanted to point out that the audience for a cdlc can be bigger than any of the counters.
