This is still to fast for me.

I can play the "chorus" part on 90% completely. But fullspeed is still impossible for me.

I have to use something new with my 1 and 3 fingers to get faster here - I press both 4 and 5 strings on 2 & 4 frets.

I think most of you are using that kind of technique. Don't know. My be it completely wrong...

I RRed it all last night, And I still too slow.

I fret each note directly. You'll get there after some time of practice.

    Update on my score. This was a pain since I would usually just get a random note missed. 

     

     

     

    Great score, there.  Are you using heavy gauge strings?

     

    Kinda, I'm using 55 - 110 Ernie Ball Power Slinky bass strings (roundwound) . I put them on a few hours before I played the song. (I did a DNA sweep on my bass.) I was using nickel before but they were super bright, and I just couldn't get use to them since I usually jam with friends who enjoy the stoner rock genre.

    This song also contains too fast part for me. And I spent last night trying to handle it. It was worthless. 90% speed is my top here.

    Nice score @@Vodka I wasn't going to play this anymore as my light strings don't like it but hey ho I'll give it another go

     

    I tried the bass on this toon but due to light gauge strings again I struggled even though it is much easier than the Inter bass toon plus different days seem to give different results, does the weather/temperature change tuning recognition ?

    Just weird that one day is ok then the next is shit, or am I just clutching at straws and looking for excuses ?

     

    Same with Buckethead, I would be really good on the bass but note recognition is pants, plus I had to superglue one of my fingers as it split.

     

    Hmmm I am making excuses so I'll shut up and have another go tomorrow.

    Well. Actually, I think environment affects on the neck. It's a wood anyway.

    And when you change the tension your neck is going to change the deflection (sorry, I don't know correct English phrase).

    D drop C  less puling the neck and it straightens. I think. I can wrong =)

    I`m quite happy. I could practice more, especially rhythm part. Playing D drop C was a little bit weird experience, strings seems to require less strength in strumming. And now is a time to focus on my final essay... less playing, more writing... I`m not so happy with that. Deadline is deadline...

    Maybe I`ll start to listen to Mastodon... Slaves sounds interesting but its not my style :)
